Yes I thought the S1.E is the more comparable one price wise. So what does the Billet rails do over the stock rails?

They have 6AN fittings on both ends so that you can connect AN plumbing directly to them, eliminating the small fuel rail inlet tube that the factory rails use.

And I guess this will only come into importance when I am chasing higher than 500 whp?

Its very difficult to estimate exactly where fuel flow becomes a restriction without integrating telemetry to individual applications. A given WHP will not directly correlate to a given fuel volume, meaning that no fuel system components or systems can be accurately rated in HP. It is very possible to be achieving HP well beyond the ideal performance ceiling of a fuel system, which can cause unseen harm through individual cylinder performance discrepancies. Most builders/tuners will choose to over-build the fuel system rather than invest in discovering the limits of components suspected of inadequacies. This is one perspective where the aftermarket is very different than the OEM. OEMs can justify the research to discover the bare minimum requirements (plus some safety margin) because they stand to gain more in margins than they spent to acquire the data. The aftermarket most often does not take this approach due to the small fraction of production in comparison.
