BOV on Stillen S/C??

I am wanting to go S/C more for the daily driving aspect of them, and will probably be going stillen. Just curious has anyone on here put a BOV on

Default BOV on Stillen S/C??

Just curious has anyone on here put a BOV on the Stillen kit? I would like to think it is doable since it is a centrifugal.

Are you asking if you can go with a bypass valve vented to atmosphere instead of recirculating?

Plenty of people use BPVs vented to atmosphere. I'd assume it's just a minor tweak when you're tuning the car.

I'm guessing a vacuum source.

well my question meaning, since he put this HKS BOV on he obviously removed the BPV, in doing so I am assuming that vacuum line came from the previous BPV? Sorry I am very new to anything FI

I dont see any post maf re-placement. He cant be dumping to atmosphere as then he is dumping already metered air and the car would run like total crap. I am guessing he has the stillen bpv on there and placed that ricer valve on there with a stiff spring setting (as not to open under idle) to get the BOV pop/ting of the HKS for the fraction of a second it would be open at decell to relieve pressure in the intake pipe. Which would still give the car a slight, unwanted blip.

Why do you want to do this? Simply for the sound? If you want to let people know you are supercharged then get my kit and the Tial bpv I sell with it and keep open dump. It will be MUCH louder than that HKS.

BTW..hks is now a chinese garbage company since they sold out from US a few years back.

**edit** Oh wait look. You can see the T fitting where he tapped into the vacuum source from the other (stillen) bpv. That confims my theory....LOL.. so much lameness on this.

Nothing like spending a few hundred dollars to sound like a cartoon!

If you are looking at SC your car , you should look at building a Air to Air setup vs the Stillen kit
If you do a search on this site about STillen SC you will see better kits can be made and get way better results

As for BOV yes you can get one , I used a Turbosmart

Not mine but it did sound similar

Building an Air to Air vs the Stillen?? Better kits can be made? so confused....

And the turbosmart is better than the plastic bosch supplied with the kit but is only good for weak sauce power.

As in try and sort the parts needed and get a kit like the one you have available

Starting with the Stillen will only leave him with less money in pocket and a crappy kit

I'm sorry I don't know much about FI lol but yes I would like the presence of a supercharger be there, plus I just love the BOV sound. And what kit are you talking about Top? Your air to air upgrade?

Oh, yeah. This would be the ideal route. But that stillen engine cover mounted bracket is necessary. If it weren't, I'd just make my own complete kit. Stupid patents.
