I'd totally do a hood bump and forego a non-functioning scoop.

I ordered an frp amuse gt type hood to make this. It's going to be killer!

Small update:
We have made some great strides this week on the Supercharger design including working out some difficult details. One of the biggest hurdles with this kit is our space constraints. We can fully see why many wouldn't even think to try this. The amount of back and forth we have had between our engineers and contributors has been insane. Everyone has come up with Great ideas on how to solve a lot of space constraint hurdles we have been facing. for example in the photo below you will notice a few valve cover pry tabs. These tabs extrude into the needed space for our plenums. In addition to that they also interrupt the traditional concept of manufacturing an integrated fuel rail in this tight of space constraint. We have faced these hurdles over the last few weeks and have successfully addressed them while also focusing on three key objectives: 1. Performance 2. Quality 3. Ease of installation (Goal: less than 12hr install and a stretch goal of less than 7hrs) We are currently in the process of 3D printing our final revisions and once that has been completed we will share those pictures with the community. We are super excited as we believe we have the best kit on the market coming together. Some other notable items to add: We are including in the turnkey kit several fuel components you will need including - a fuel pressure regulator, ID 1050X Injectors (option to upgrade to larger), Fuel lines, and a choice of fuel pump options. We are also looking at offering several color options including performance coatings to increase cooling efficiency of the intercooler. We are also going to offer a large twin pass heat exchanger and high pressure pump (22gpm minimum) combo in the base kit! We are looking at three different levels of the kit initially: Stage 1: this stage will focus on stock block and transmission cars. ~500whp goal. (future CARB approval?) Stage 1.5: Simple pulley swap and a few other upgrades targeted for the ~550-650whp crowd Stage 2: A beefier version of the kit ready to make 700whp+ It will include an even more robust cooling system and a high pressure setup. We are looking at 16+psi on this setup. There may be other versions that will come to light as we progress including a CARB approved version of the kit. Please also note that there will NOT be a huge price difference between the stage 1 and 1.5 kit. We want people to be able to grow with the kit and we know that once you go 1.5 your going to need a built motor and/or built transmission (7at). These are significant costs and we want to lessen the blow of the upgrade. As for today we are feverously 3D printing the parts as fast as we can to get you guys the latest updates. Stay tuned and we are hoping your as excited as we are to release the kit! |

There was a discussion a few posts back about possible hood accommodations/alterations. While you're working out the details of space, and since it's going to require a hood of some sort, active vents (w/small electric fans) might be a good option to include, and greatly beneficial for those who may use it as a daily driver. Heatsoak from stop-and-go with FI is a problem!
Just my two cents... |

Are we thinking 500whp with headers, straight exhaust or can we expect to say bolt it up to a stock 16 NISMO and expect 500whp? I just can't stand the sound our cars opened up with aftermarket exhaust.

I know it's been mentioned a few times but I didn't find a definitive answer (as you guys also might not have one yet) but what is the plans for the belt layout? What about those of use with an ATI dampener already. And how will this effect upgrading from stages? Additionally, you mentioned use of the 70mm TBs, what about the the 72mm shaftless TBs?
