On a worse case instance I would check the turbo and verify there isn’t any coolant leaking past the seals to the exhaust side ..I have read the one turbo had faulty seals and this happen Last edited by Jinxx; 04-17-2018 at 10:38 AM. |

Does anyone have any tips or good photos of how they kept the wastegate vacuum lines/transmission harness away from the turbo manifold? Pretty sure everything got rearranged when I brought my car to the shop to replace the clutch. I was going to buy a fire sleeve for the vacuum lines but I don't think 500* of protection will help with direct contact on the turbo manifold.

Use a ton of zip ties to keep everything out of the way. I used thermotec heat sleeve for all vacuum lines. I also header wrapped the turbo manifold to prevent those heat issues. Check my build thread link and there’s probably some pictures of the underside. |
