1) We were very inexperienced in this kind of work 2) The directions were written for someone who was very experienced in this kind of work. We also got the first version of these directions because of the next item.. 3) I got the first V3 kit that went out. Every other kit they had previously sold was an in-house installation for them... for example: there were little packaging issues like the turbo intake pipes not being marked which pipe goes on which side (they look almost identical), this cost us a few days of frustration. After I started having trouble with the install, Gamma did hook me up with an excellent support guy who answered my calls and texts throughout the holidays to help me out, and they were very open about getting my feedback so that I could help them improve the experience for others. So... all that being said, I am pretty sure my brother-in-law and I could pull a Z into his garage today and have this whole kit installed within 3-5 days after struggling through it the first time. The benefit to pulling the motor would be ease of installing the manifolds, turbos, and oil/water plumbing and knowing you are able to get even and proper torque on every single fastener.... but then you add the difficulty of pulling the motor, so it might be a wash. After installing a TT kit it's like 45 pounds of sh!it in a 5 pound bag, so I do think it's amazing that this installation can be done without pulling the motor (Gamma kit was engineered this way, and they don't pull the motor to install in-house either). Also it does give me piece of mind that if push came to shove, I could R&R the entire kit in my single garage on jackstands (though it would royally suck).
