Advice or experience with water/meth injection on sc

Hey guys, doing some research on water/meth injection for my stage 2 sc setup, due to high intake temps etc, plus higher octane fuels are harder for me to attain due to my location so iam looking for ways to be able to up my boost safely and max power. Curious whos using it and best kits out there. Thanks

You should contact JMS Racing out of San Antonio, they are familiar with this setup.

Be careful. It's another failure point. If you tune it very aggressively with the meth, and the flow stops during a pull, you'll be buying a motor. If you just use it for safety and don't push the boost too far, it'll be ok. Use a 50/50 mix of meth and water so you don't have a car fire if you have a leak.

In the diesel world that is called placing it on drugs... So to speak. Bad things can happen quickly. If you want to boost safely, if there is such a thing, a very good tune is worth it's weight in gold.

Interesting - if you look at that IG pic, look at how they re-plumbed the MAFs. They must be tuned on speed density as that configuration would surely create turbulence in the second MAF in line.

This :iagree:

Also, How fast can you spin that supercharger before overspinning it?

It sounds weird that you are maxing out the intercooler before maxing out the head unit. So if you are overspinning it you are just creating heat.

If you are not overspinning then i would just look at a bigger, better front mount. That way you wont add all the complexity of that meth setup. I personally think Meth is a bandaid and as stated, can lead to many other problems for you. And do you really want to have to worry about filling up with meth all the time?

Iam not even close to over spinning the sc,i have the 12lbs pulley that I will install over this winter along with cjm fuel system,i was just looking at ways to max my setup, dont know much about water/meth kits so I was curious if anyone was currently using it,i find that the center brace on the z blocks alot of the intercooler, was looking into FI's smaller replacement one to fix that issue.

If you're going to be pushing more boost with a smaller pulley, maybe look into just straight water injection for cooling? That way you wouldn't have the motor immediately explode if there's a flow issue.
