Man I clearly need to quit using my phone to read, stop drinking in the garage and/or need glasses.
Hopefully the fact I kept asking the same question is evidence I didn't see the info in your original response to my question about BPV vs BOV. |
Found the cause of my problem. couple of semi loose couplers. visual inspection looked good, but could feel the air. looks like i will be scoping out some good worm drive clamps. getting around 8-9 psi. maybe the new clamps will help me find my missing 1-2. if not, only a few bucks lost.
Also, for the sake of posterity, it seems that it's a fine location to tap into for a boost sensor. |
There was a design flaw in e early kits from gtm ...and was only maxing out at 8lbs regardless of the pulley ...something with the intake piping was too restrictive ...there was a correction done for that issue with new intake plumbing ...and the bypass valve is supposed to be venting open at idle and it will vent even while driving if not accelerating. The 88mm shod be good for 10-11 lbs of boost
Also that should be fine for a source for the boost line |

Thanks for the info. |
Pressure leaks can be found easily by spraying soapy water on the fittings. If there is a leak you will see bubbles. I use an old spray bottle filled with tap water and a couple of drops of dish washing soap. Works like a charm.
Good luck and happy boosting! |
