Reducing compression
Hi
I'm wondering if anyone here has reduced the compression ratio on their VQ37 by the use of thicker head gaskets? And if so what compression did you achieve with what thickness of gasket? I'm about to install a GTM/Gamma TT kit and would like to drop the compression to keep it a bit more reliable under boost. If I can't achieve that to some degree I'll most likely put in a water methanol kit to keep Charge temps down Any ideas? Cheers |

Neither of those are necessary around the 500whp level. Going more than that will take e85 or a built motor. Lower compression pistons are better than a thicker head gasket.
