Stillen SC A2W Plenum Temps

Why not use the Stillen BPV that came with it? It does the same thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But this is how he's fixed it to run smoother.

Got to be recirculating.

But the stock system already does this.

There is a reason why, but I forget. I will ask him.

The reason for the recirculating dv is to smooth the engine when cruising on the highway, since you can get a shuffling due to the dv venting air that has already been "read" by the afm

I don't see why you needed that, I don't know of any cars that had a problem cruising down the highway. On the highway the car is operating on vacuum and the BPV recirculates the air post MAF so it's still metered air, am I missing something?

Yes, that is what it does. Op already was set up this exact same way, just a lot more simple.

It is the same as the standard system but we have found that with the larger pulley upgrade the supplied system cant flow sufficiently which causes this shuffle at low loads

In other words it is the same as the Stillen system , only bigger

Ok. That makes sense. Another reason to go A2A and dump to atmosphere.

Just an update.

Build has been delayed due to fabrication of some of the mounts needed for the rads on the car. Tunnel is off this week but it's booked in for mapping next week.

There are 2 sensors in the plenum, one for a gauge in the cockpit and the other for the ecu.

Tuner has done this one a upreved SC and saw Temps of 50C through the sensor. I'm not sure what ambient air was.

He's not entirely sure how far he can go with ecutek, but he plans to wire straight to ecu and use the temp value provided to change advance. He does have another idea if this fails or is unworkable.

So I have some basic info as the car is still being tuned.

Looks positive that ecutek will and is using g the temp gauge from the plenum to advance timings.

As for Temps, I have only a little info. Ambient temp at the moment is around 10°C and the charge temp after the cooler is seeing 50°C under load during tuning. I also have a gauge in the reservoir which seemed to stay around ambient during the tune (testament to how little heat it must remove). SC belt is slipping a little but hopefully end if play tomorrow I'll have some more info.
