Speaking of noises, anyone have a heavy load sound coming from front of car/blower when reversing? Especially cold. Didnt have that sound before blower rebuilt/no slip kit installed
It appears the 3.00 did the trick. I'm going to change the oil when I get it back and then monitor it but Seb topped it off and it was fine.

I don't remember having the noise you're talking about but my car's been in the shop so long I can't remember. 😁

Thank you. It's amazing what your kit is capable of. Torque is actually 491.

As I'm fitting the A2A kit onto the Yellow 09 Z...
I ran into a few issues.
Putting in that intake pipe is a total PITA.

Either that or I'm doing it wrong.

It is such a tight fit it isn't funny lol

The coupler from the end of the intake pipe to the intercooler (passenger side) is kind of squished a bit... not enough room to make it flow as it should.

Not sure if this is normal or not.

There is a black bar right behind the coupler that is preventing it from being not so squished. I mean it's on there but it raises some concern for me.

Anyone have any possible remedy to this issue?

If I remembered correctly I did encounter the same situation. I was informed by my mechanic of the difficult adjustment on it but he made a new one for me when I got back to him on the next day.

He made a new coupler?
Do you know the measurements or where I can buy these same couplers in case they rip or something cuz all the pushing and stuff is starting to kind of make scratches / small tiny tears in the couplers i may need new ones

Maybe you could help me out on where I could find the exact couplers online or something?

Sad news, he just PMed me that he asked a local shop to onsite measured the required size for coupling, followed by making it for him. He didn't know the size. He just outsourced it and it's commonly seen here for most of the modified cars. I asked him to drop the bumper and he refused it. The reinstallation of bumper will require mandatory labor charge. I can do that for you as I am planning to go flex fuel mods in the next two months but I think it is very likely that you have already got it done before my next mods.

oh well
thank you anyways, i appreciate it.
i dont think my car will ever be done.
too many people flake on me that tell me that they will help me out but they dont commit.
unfortunately i cant do anything myself because im completely useless when it comes to doing mechanical work which is why i pay others to help me

even paying them they flake on me
so i have the pretty sad life

im almost to the point where i want to just give up on my build because too many people that i trust let me down.
i'm actually almost to the point that if it isn't done this next coming week then im going to honestly think about selling the entire car with all the crazy after market parts in it for obviously a discounted price and then use that money to buy a diff car

if money doesn't drive them to help me, i dont know what will.

like honestly this is more stressful to me than enjoyable.

i literally had 7 - 8 different people touch my car so far in trying to put it back together because of the inconsistency people give me about helping me out. that's ridiculous right?

Why not just take it to a reputable shop instead, pay their price and just get it done. It would be cheaper and less headaches in the long run. My car is a year and a half old and it's probably been in the shop for 6 months out of those 18 months for mods. Hell, the car only has 1700 miles on it.

Because the shop that I trust, the mechanic there got laid off the week I was literally going to take it there. They made a huge mistake and are paying the repercussions now and reaping what they sowed.

They are now realizing they laid off the wrong person for the stupidest reason too. NObody saw it coming.

lUckily he's in my area and I had him come out to my house to help out with the car putting it back together and I paid him his hourly rate but he has been busy lately so he hasn't been able to come out really at all this past week

How do you keep yourself busy not thinking about the car and when it will be done for all that time...I guess people don't give you empty promises like they do to me lately huh

I know where you're coming from, I'm sure we all do. My mechanic has a shop to run (daily customer repairs) and could only work on my car in his free time (which he doesn't have a lot of). Work that would only take a few days to complete, took a month. Then my tuner is super busy and backed up, I had to make an appointment a month in advance. It's just the way it is. Fortunately, I still have my other toy (Mitsubishi Eclipse) to drive in the meantime.

The same as here in Taiwan! They are both busy guys so I have to make sure I left my car in capable hands. It has been almost three months since I drove it to the garage. Hopefully I can have it back before the end of the month. I will then send my Mini JCW to another garage for mods once I have my precious fairlady.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the sympathy & empathy. I'm glad there are others in the same boat as me who is able and willing to share their experiences similar to what I am cryin' about

I actually and honestly needed it tonight.

On top of that, the guy who I was talking about that was unfortunately laid off by his shop just called me to help calm me down and help put my mind at ease about all of this.

So thank you to both of you, and to the mechanic friend that gave me a call to calm me down about things.

You guys are the best,

I think my problem is I keep thinking it is going to be done soon but I have unrealistic expectations.
Maybe I need to set my mind on it being complete by 2020 so that if done any earlier I can feel really happy lol
