I'm going to have to talk to my shop and see what could be done for you OS enthusiasts as far as cost, lead time, manufacture and delivery is concerned.
Another thing that I think will make this harder is that you will have to get the outside diameter of the intake on your volute machined along with the two sealing O ring grooves to be machined in. The inside diameter of the cast intake will have to be machined to suit as well and then there's the fabricated intake pipe up to the cast adapter and CNC machined bracket for the supercharger itself. I'm not sure if that would be better to be done here or for you to get it done in your own area/country. This has been a very much custom mod for myself (so far). To make it available to other forum members is yet to be worked out, but I'm happy for any ideas but be weary of what it might cost! Oh and one other important thing! I had to get some of my AC piping cut and re routed to enable this intake mod which was of course needed a re gas. Last edited by Optimiser; 08-14-2018 at 08:06 AM. Reason: more info |

Tbatt and Wideglide,
If changing the filter is that much of an issue, then I would think the minimal amount of power you lose by going with the old stillen coupler would suffice. Although, this new cast coupler is definitely an upgrade from the silicone one and may flow more air.

This is what my high flow cats looked like after a bunch of miles and part of a track day. Just more proof of what happens to them behind the headers on a supercharged car. No wonder a driver behind me said I had sparks coming out of the exhaust.

After switching to A2A (UK developed) the tuner noticed that the boost was not what he was expecting. I upgraded the SC from a SCI to and SI. Boost was better, as expected but still low.
I now have something similar, I dont have a coupler but some alterations were made so that the intake pipe into the SC was not restricted. I now have a large cone that sits above the FMIC with the pipe the same diameter as the SC charge opening with no restriction. This means I can change the filter without SC removal, but I still need to remove the bumper. Boost was not so high that I have reverted back to the standard pulley. Car is currently sitting around 550bhp/400ft-lb, which is as high as I want to go with the A/T. I also removed the MAFs and have the car Density mapped to remove the recirc piping and save room. |

My berks HFC died in less then a year after installing this kit, went with ART pipes.
Cats just can't handle the heat, at least not in the stock location! |

The only cars I've seen that have issues with cats are the ones that aren't hitting AFR targets. Too lean or too rich will cause problems. I've tuned several with STOCK cats and aftermarket cats and all of them are still doing just fine, even with upgraded impellers, pulleys, etc.

Well SEB tuned my car AFR is right where it should be. May be it was the berks that were the problem, I just know when we replaced them they rattled and pieces were falling out of them.

Is this a part you should always keep an extra on hand?

No. Even if the bearing starts going it will probably just get noisy. Since these are readily available you could get one in a few days. Of course they're so inexpensive it certainly wouldn't break the bank to have an extra on hand though.

TopgunZ install
Hello all. I am about to install the TopgunZ A2A kit and was wondering if anyone knows exactly how to remove the SC so I can turn the housing. Not sure if the belts need to come off first or pulleys or what. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
