Goes to prove though that the air to air kit is much more efficient. Nobody has maxed out the stillen injectors on the water kit with 9psi pulley. And you WAY maxed them. You should leave headroom of 85% at least. So id say these were done around 6000 safely.

Never run injectors to 100%.

Are you going with 800s or 1000s?

This is very true....which is the reason why I had to upgrade my fuel system the Stillen Injectors were hitting 95% Duty Cycle up top for me past 7K RPM.

Only other mod done was Motordyne test pipes.

Problem I had was I was running out on injector at I think he said 7k rpm.
So will be replacing them real soon.

Why would you have more power than me but less torque and run out of injectors (stock Stillen ones) when I didn't? Very interesting.

This I can't say or understand to be honest. I understand zero about tuning. EDIT: I have the upgraded Stillen 9psi pulley maybe this? not sure. Also before the a2a kit and pulley my tq and hp was almost the same thats on uprav after the a2a and pulley I changed to Ecutek. I do not know how much of a difference this makes or any just giving my information.

I'm guessing temperature, weather, sea level etc all play a role in these things. Kind of the same reason why cars in Australia and out here in Guam don't make the same amount of power as the cars in the US, even though we have the same exact set ups and tunes.

Let's not rule out the simple fact Dynos can give different readings from 2 shops next door to each other, yet alone 2 shops on the other side of the planet from each other.

Has anyone on the Air 2 Air done a Ti Impeller upgrade? I know a couple of you guys have done the Si upgrade...

For those of you that have done the impeller upgrade with Vortech did you recall the turn around time?

The only guy I know that has is Milkcow500 on his G37. He bought it from a guy on the Vette forums though as that is what they run.

Whoops, I thought I responded to this already, but I guess I never hit sent.

Here's the deal with the Ti trim blower: Vortech specifically makes it for a company that sells aftermarket SC kits for the C7 Corvette. You cannot have your unit upgraded/converted by Vortech, since it runs a larger volute and impeller.

Your only choices are to buy one straight out like I did, have superchargerrebuilds bore your unit and replace the impeller (Their 'Ti trim' upgrade), or do what Evan is doing and have 928 build your blower.

No updates on my build yet, since the car has been in the body shop for the past month +. When it's done I'll be doing my serp side pulleys and flex fuel dyno tune.

Yep I thought the best route while still keeping the stock Vortech head unit, was to just send it to 928 and have them do the super vortech upgrade. All new bearings to support up to 72k rpm, their impeller, high performance seal on impeller shaft, HSS steel bearings, and they shim and adjust the impeller. Im planning on around 18 psi with this setup with my new build. Should put down some pretty good numbers for sure.

Don't spin it any faster than vorteck says, I tried spinning mine faster with their bearings and blew up the supercharger.

Jwillis, no offense, I respect your efforts immensly, but I honestly think it was the shops fault ,that did that build, for the sc chewing itself apart. Stillenz84 has been 8k over the recommended limit for almost a year on the standard bearings. And we have seen him beating the piss out of his car much more than most.

Then again, maybe I'll be eating my words, but we won't know till someone tries again. Pioneer power!

There's so many factors that come into play once you open up the blower. I've seen the guys over on the mustang/corvette forums overspin and it's a hit or miss. Most of time, you'll see thing like the oil slinger get destroyed.

From what I've seen, it seems like it comes down to a few important factors: installation, oil level, and bearings.
