I just looked over the logs and thought you all might want to know. It was 85 degrees out while logging. In normal traffic (starting and stopping) and cruising up to 70 MPH on my last cruising log after running for 30 minutes and at normal operating temps....... notice the intake air temps

With more air going through the kit I wonder if the 600cc injectors will hold up for fuel or need to be upgraded. I know you and Topz don'[t have this issue as you have upgraded injectors already. Curious to know for those that want to just upgrade to the Air to Air upgrade for accurate and cooler intake temps and of course more power.

Nice Pauly Z....Looks like your Intake Temps are 10-20 degrees above ambient....Have you tried seeing how the temps get with back to back WOT pulls yet or are you haven't reached that part of the tuning process yet?

So took another step back today as my CEL started flashing again and pulled 6 deg of timing. I talked to Seb and he is going to back my timing off a little to see if that is what it could be. If not I know something is still touching somewhere. Should have another flash in the next hour to try out. Very frustrating. 1st and 2nd are good then the top of 3rd is starts flashing. Posted a video below.

That sucks. I just don't see what could be touching if you check the 2 spots already discussed.

Topgunz was spot on with figuring out what filter would work best with the air to air setup. Fits almost perfectly and sits in there very snug. From the front you can see that this setup will be getting plenty of cold air. For the filter to fit better and for piece of mind, I used a small 1/8"x 1/2" rubber spacer that I placed on the lip of the supercharger inlet before I slipped on the air filter. This just allowed for a much tighter grip.

Is your supercharger volute hitting the frame? Based on the last pic, that might be it. Mine is a clocked a complete 180 degrees.

TopgunZ 04-27-2016 01:51 PM

If it were a perfect 180 the volute would be about an inch from the headlight assembly. How did you do that?

StillenZ84 04-27-2016 02:24 PM

Yeah I have double and triple checked and nothing is hitting. The volute is 1/2"-3/4" above the frame. I really have no clue what else it could be. Should be getting the new tune any minute to try. Im at 21-22 deg advanced now and shouldn't be knocking on e85.

Is your hood hitting your strut bar now that you have raised it?

So then you went with a 90* coupler off the supercharger outlet?

We figured out that this whole time my boost/vac hose wasn't plugged into the fuel regulator and my fuel pressure was dropping upper RPMs. Mis-communication on my part. Thank God for Ecutek detecting knock. Soooo we get to start allll over with the tune. We kept wondering why we were having to add more and more fuel up top. Just sent him some idle and cruise logs. lol Im glad it was as simple as that because I was getting worried.

Pauly Z 04-27-2016 07:52 PM

Does anyone have the thread size of the 7at trans overflow plug? I need to make something to fill my trans.

JWillis72 04-27-2016 07:58 PM

I made a pump out of a bug sprayer and just used a small piece of a larger hose on the end to stop it from flowing out. I found the bug sprayer idea on YouTube. You will loose more fluid trying to use a threaded one.

Pauly Z 04-27-2016 08:03 PM

Could you send me a pic of what you are talking about?

I don't have pics of the one I made, I gave it to the shop owner and my car is no longer there and he's pissed at me. this video shows everything but the hose I used as a plug.

They ****** up. They did some shady work on a couple of those intake attempts. They continually lied about when it would be ready.

And he's pissed at you?:wtf2:

jwick 04-28-2016 07:20 AM

Oh and I left out they had your car for like six months.

I took another look at this. So by "tab" you mean the light adjustment? Have you tried your lights yet? I hope they don't have googlie eyes. :icon14:

Lol no Google eyes. Not the Adjustment. There is a tab under it that I trimmed off.

Right on. Hows the tuning going?

Pauly Z 04-28-2016 11:44 AM

Looking up trans settings, checking the fluid levels in the trans and reflashing ecu. Haven't been told to do wide open logs yet.

TopgunZ 04-28-2016 04:30 PM

Well, I fell short of my 550whp goal. Ran out of fuel nearing 7k. My injectors were at 102% there.

Which injectors are you running, and which fuel? No problem with belt slippage this time?

TopgunZ 04-28-2016 06:18 PM

Id1000s. No belt slip. I need a bigger fuel pump I think.

Pauly Z 04-28-2016 06:20 PM

That seems odd for 1000 IDs and 340pump. Isn't pulling timing?

93 octane, or e85? Now you're making me worried. I was going to go ID1000 and 340lph. Was thinking having a tune for e85, and another for 93; but mainly run 93. Hmmm

Pauly Z 04-28-2016 08:31 PM

Hmm, that's the same as me.

What were you able to hit HP TQ and AFR's? Were u able to take any vids and logs of Intake Temps?

TopgunZ 04-29-2016 07:39 AM

Everything was basically the same. My AFR's were deep into the 12's after 7K though. I will log intake temps when it stops raining here. Should be this weekend.

Im very curious to see what the other two guys with the kit will make. I am a bit confused by my tuner as he should have told me last time that we wont be able to go safely to redline even if I get the belt to stop slipping. Which I did by purchasing a new one. My old one lost a couple of ribs from riding the pulley too far to the inside. This new one held up good.
