I was hoping you would look and possibly come across an even better one. I pm'd you the part number.

I really wish a mushroom style HKS would fit. I think we would gain a full psi out of it. I broke one trying. I might modify one just cuz.

Pauly Z 04-22-2016 03:26 PM

Yeah I couldn't even find the one you have. I was about to call k and n to see about one custom made.

I already tried that. I emailed a pdf with a full drawing with dimensions with wide tolerances and they replied back with a link to their "select a size" page..lol.

Pauly Z 04-23-2016 12:18 AM

Well she started. But have some issues.

It's throwing some codes (P010C, P1092) and there is absolutely no throttle. Tried the relearn several times but don't think it is taking. Looked at the logs and bank 2 Maf is 0. Going to have to play with it tomorrow.

EVOHUNTER 04-23-2016 08:45 AM

P010C, - 1. Run a new wire between the bank 2 MAF sensor and terminal 79 of the ECM or trace the harness to try to locate the broken wire.
Tech Tips: The wiring diagram does not show a connector between the MAF sensor and the ECM. Bank 2 is the driver's side. The ECM is located behind the right (passenger) side of the dash.

P1092 this code is something to do with VVEL CONTROL SHAFT POSITION SENSOR.

Did you extend your MAF wires your self and solder them?

Or did stillen provide you with new extended maf cables.

Pauly Z 04-23-2016 09:07 AM

I am going to look and make sure everything is hooked up properly. I am using the stillen maf extention for the drivers side maf. It might be bad.

Hey Stillenz84, hows the flutter at part throttle with that BPV?

Flutter isnt bad but the Tial does stay open in every gear till around 2000 rpm light throttle. I occasionally get some flutter around 2200 rpm but not too often. It is definitely loud. haha Turns plenty of heads. Im working this weekend on adding some padding to places that the pipe is hitting the frame because it is tirggering my knock sensor and havent been able to get but a few good log for Seb. I have hit 9 psi at 6000 rpm and the car is a whole other animal with the new kit.

Pauly Z 04-23-2016 07:27 PM

Well the VVEL code is cleared. Connecter wasn't fully seated. Now just have to figure out the Maf code.

What psi were u hitting before?

TopgunZ 04-23-2016 09:38 PM

Can you take a pic where it's hitting the frame? I can't even see how it's possible.

Pauly Z 04-24-2016 12:29 PM

Maybe where the tubing goes through the radiator support or where the blower is clocked. Those are the only placesit comes close to metal on the car on mine.

The volute was initially touching right after install and I had to move it up 1/2'-3/4" so it wouldn't hit. There was also a place on the cold side where the pipe came through the engine bay that was leaning against the metal. I put a rubber boot in-between them to try to stop it. Also the strut bar was rubbing on the intake right before the TB's, so I added a little padding.

I was just under 10 psi at redline before.

TopgunZ 04-24-2016 03:03 PM

Ok I can see where it could hit coming in through the shroud.
I snapped a pic of the normal y pipe at the throttle bodies and this design won't hit the sway bar.
http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/...pssuxitiye.jpg

And coming through the shroud there's a ton of space.

Nice so ur hitting boost earlier @ 9psi @6K rpm.....hopefully those padding did the trick so u can get some clean pulls for ur Data Logs....What are ur intake temps looking like? Are they close to ambient?

Yeah hopefully it did the trick. Intake temps are incredibly low compared. It has been mid to high 80s during the day here and my intake temp never gets over 90-95 WOT. I did a few pulls tonight with no knock so Im hoping all goes smooth tomorrow. Was 65 and intake temps didn't go above 75 WOT.

So is it common for the Stillen Maf extentions to not work?

When I had mine they broke, plus the tech did a shi$ty job soldering and I wound up with breaks in 5 spots. I would recheck the whole thing

I replaced the cable with the second one I have. It is all good and working. MAFS are reading spot on. Taking it out to get some cruising logs recorded for Seb today.

Do the silicone couplers only come in blue? I was thinking about sending off my y-pipe to be powder coated the same blue as my calipers, and I think the blue couplers would clash a little.

Where is your bpv and what are you using for pulley sizes?

Pauly Z 04-26-2016 11:50 AM

Stock pulley size for now. The blv is in the same normal spot. That was a pick I took during Fab.

You can get couplers in any color you want basically. Just depends on the piping kit you get.

It is a single/dual port blv from EMUSA. I wanted to see how it will do.

If it works, it will be an extremely cheap alternative and fits the original 25 mil flange that the Bosch recerc uses.

Logs went well with Seb yesterday. I am running really lean as there is obviously much more air now. Seb sent me another tune this morning with some adjustments to make it more rich but there are thunderstorms and tornados here today so tomorrow I will get him more logs. Not too much longer to go.

Pauly Z 04-26-2016 07:22 PM

Just got done taking some cruising logs. About to send them off to Seb and take a look at them my self. Car ran great. I have a question though...How hot do these blowers run? I got done driving and the blower was too hot to touch.

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

TopgunZ 04-26-2016 08:06 PM

Have you ever been able to touch anything under your hood after a drive? Try touching your manifold.

Pauly Z 04-26-2016 08:08 PM

Just paranoid. Never delt with the blower on the car beforehand.
