Hey topz, do you know the boost ill be seeing?

Is my 255 and 650cc going to hold up?

or in the left pane in the wheel!
Where the fresh air is still cool!

Just so my idea?!

Those are good ideas. But if you have an efficient air to air front mount then it cools off the intake anyway. With it being a little warmer coming in, it gets cooled all the same.

That doesn't work with water to air.

This is a much better design for getting air to your supercharger. I have several dyno sheets to prove that.

Not sure. Your kit is different then mine. You might lose a little more boost from the bigger IC and the intake being different. Its hard to say.

Did they think you had enough when you tuned last fall? I am guessing you wouldn't have made it to redline with that and that pulley setup.

TopgunZ 04-19-2016 03:47 PM

That doesn't look good PaulyZ. So your kit is on the dyno? Any pics of how they routed all the piping?

We were not sure because I only could rev to 5000 rpm without it cutting fuel and going insanely lean because of the loss of MAF voltage.

Honestly, with aggressive as you had been going I am almost certain you wouldn't have had enough fuel. Pump gas though right?

Pauly Z 04-19-2016 04:11 PM

Not on dyno yet cause we are waiting on a patch from Ecutek so we can get a base map to start.

Topgunz was spot on with figuring out what filter would work best with the air to air setup. Fits almost perfectly and sits in there very snug. From the front you can see that this setup will be getting plenty of cold air. For the filter to fit better and for piece of mind, I used a small 1/8"x 1/2" rubber spacer that I placed on the lip of the supercharger inlet before I slipped on the air filter. This just allowed for a much tighter grip.

Very nice choice/find on that filter!

The fit and finish is spot-on!

Yeah its been raining here. Supposed to be sunny and in the 70's this Saturday. I also have a dyno scheduled at 3pm on the 28th. We will see if I can break 550whp. I think I will.

Your not running E85 correct?

If not the 255 will be fine but you could run out of injector. When my car was 418 whp with 650cc injectors on the stock Stillen set up I was seeing around 85-90%. Before my blower ate itself I had a 2.75 on the supercharger and my 255 had no problem keeping up.

TBatt 04-20-2016 10:10 AM

Does anyone have any pictures showing the intercooler and an oil cooler. I'm trying to visualize how they will share the space up front. I'm going with the Z1 25 row and now the TopgunZ A2A setup. This will be a fresh install of the SC kit and the A2A and oil cooler.

TopgunZ 04-20-2016 10:56 AM

StillenZ84 just did this. He was telling me about it. I'm sure he will chime in here. I think he is working on buttoning up his install right now.

Ill try to grab some pics but it is pretty tight. There is plenty of room between the radiator and new intercooler to mount it. What kind of gets in the way is that little power steering cooler. I was able to mount them where there is around 3/4"-1" in between them. I also have a trans cooler on the other side that had to be moved back about an inch.

TBatt 04-20-2016 03:45 PM

Thanks StillenZ84. Any and all help will be appreciated! I'm one of those that over-plans everything I do. Once I get started I want it finished quick and correctly.

StillenZ84 04-20-2016 06:34 PM

So everything is installed and running great! I have started logging for Seb. Cant take it above 1/3 throttle yet but the car feels great. Acceleration seems much smoother as well. I will try to get a video up tonight of everything running. I have to upload to Youtube and all that BS so I can post it here.

JWillis72 04-20-2016 07:57 PM

I'm glad to hear it!

TopgunZ 04-21-2016 07:43 AM

FYI. I gave StillenZ84 that intake pipe for pretty much next to nothing as I had no use for it. It only worked with Speed Density tuning or MAP tuning. The only pipes that will be sold with the kit, like the one I have on my car and the one that went out with the other kit for the G37, will be the crossover style Y-pipe. This can be used for either MAF or SD tuning.

Milkcow500 has the regular Y-pipe and will fit everything up on his G37 soon. He is just waiting on some fuel components before his build starts. He is having a shop do it so once it starts it should only take a day.

milkcow500 04-21-2016 11:01 AM

I have the piping and all the parts ready to go for install on my G37. Everything should have been done by now, but as TopGunZ mentioned, I'm getting held up on sourcing a fuel return kit.

I will also be going with SD tuning along with SpecialtyZ's external SD sensor kit, so the MAFs won't play a crucial part in my build as well.

milkcow500 04-21-2016 11:59 AM

I actually didn't know Charles had an account on here. Unfortunately, that is who I'm waiting on. I initially came to him for an S1 kit with a filter added onto it (Highly suggested for E85 conversion by Seb), but we ran into some delayed issues and I know he's a very busy man. It just sucks for me, since my G37 has been sitting in the shop for two weeks (my only daily). Worst case I might just pick up an S1 kit and deal with E85 later in the future.

Here. You can see all the additional equipment you can get with it. Which is pretty cool that this model is customizable.

Then I got the adapter pipe from Ebay. SRE 2 5" Aluminum Turbo Blow Off Valve Adapter Pipe Tial 50mm 2mm Thick | eBay

Topz....just for confirmation, the new design on the kit won't require the purchase of the aforementioned adapter pipe from Ebay right? You will be able to use the Tial or any BPV on the new design?

TopgunZ 04-21-2016 07:45 PM

No. It will come with the flange for a 1" bpv like the bosch or turbosmart. If you want to change to a different one you will need to buy the flange. Just like any kit, I can't supply a variety of flanges. There are hundreds of valves on the market.

What's up with the fuel return kit? I, too, have a G37. I'm supposed to be picking up a Stillen Kit with the V3 blower and upgraded impeller off a 370Z. He has the 8, 9, and 10lb pulleys included.

Anyway, I intend to have the auto trans cooler, oil cooler, CSF radiator, Injector Dynamics 725cc injectors, and a 340lph fuel pump. I currently have UpRev, but will switch to EcuTek. What else do I need? Should I upgrade my spark plugs to GT-R plugs? I'm also having a shop install mine, so I want to have all the parts ready when I drop it off. I probably will go to e85, as I might as well do it all at once and be done with it.

Measure that 10psi pulley and let me know what it is. Id be very careful with that as I have never heard of anyone having one and it might be overspinning your supercharger way too much. The last thing you want is a new kit with a melted unit a week later.

Definitely get the GT-R plugs and if theres even a small chance you will go E-85 then for sure get ID1000's. Those 750's will never be able to keep up.

I just got my situation settled with Charles. I'll be going with a 93 tune for now with the S1 kit and then he'll upgrade my kit later on for e85. He is redesigning his S1 kit, but it will probably take a week or two.

I would have you or your shop reach out to Stillen because you will need some parts to get the 370z kit to fit your g. Like Top said, ID1000 minimum for e85.

EVOHUNTER 04-22-2016 08:26 AM

Hey Stillenz84, hows the flutter at part throttle with that BPV?

Thank. I've actually already been in talks with Stillen trying to get all the necessary parts worked out.

Anyone have the serpentine belt number for the kit by chance? I want to put a new one on for the dyno just in case. Hoping to order at work so it can ship today.

When I get home I can get you the belt number, I found a gater back belt in the same size.

Yeah, I'm scared to even try that 10lb pulley. I think 8 would be plenty for me with a2a and e85. And, you're correct about the 1000cc injectors. I completely didn't take into account how much extra it would have to flow to achieve the proper fuel. Good thing they cost the same at the 725s.

So, it looks like I'll be adding the CJM S1 kit. Not too bad of a price, especially since the first one I saw was the S1-S. Anything else I need to get everything finished in one swoop?
