Who got the first kit?

TopgunZ 04-14-2016 07:44 PM

Evan

omG37S 04-14-2016 07:45 PM

Does the kit come with instructions?

Correct. I haven't logged it this time. I am in the middle of swapping back to the 8psi pulley and 34/30 tooth cog setup. When that's done I will make a video of the AITs on the road. The last time I did they never went more than 10* above ambient. But I was only on 9psi. Now that im around 13 they might be slightly higher. But nothing even close to 200* like the current setup..lol..

Awesome......:happydance:

Btw Topz...when u did ur dyno run, u only had the 9psi pulley as the only upgrade to the Air to Air? Everything else was in the out of the box Stillen format ryt?

TopgunZ 04-14-2016 08:34 PM

No. I have the Si trim that is good for 2psi more. I was spinning my sc at the same speed as the 9psi or 2.75".

It is all coming together. Everything has fit really nice and only a few minor adjustments have been made. Hopefully I can finish up the major things tomorrow and get everything back together.

That doesn't look like a y pipe. Has the design changed?

StillenZ84 04-17-2016 12:16 AM

No the design hasnt changed. I am just Speed Density tuned so I got the old intake design with the larger pipe. Only thing I am using the Mafs for are Intake temps.

I Am totally Sub'd....super stoked to see ur results with Seb. :excited:

BOLIO 671 04-17-2016 01:59 AM

Awesome pics Evan....Does the kit come with the Tial by pass or do u have to order that separate?

swiss370Z 04-17-2016 02:09 AM

Sir, can you please post more pictures!?

BTW: I'm very excited about the result? Looks very good!:tup::tup::tup:

Oh yeah I forgot you were sd

The kit does not come with the tial. We worked out a deal on one. However, I have redesigned the kit so any bpv will swap right in! No modifications necessary.

TopgunZ 04-17-2016 02:58 PM

Two more. 6 more in 2 weeks.

My progress for today. Have everything basically mounted the way the pipes are going to go. Clocked the supercharger down so there aren't as many bends in the piping. Mounted the supercharger to make sure everything fit and it is looking good. Just need to install the blockoff plate, air filter, a few couplers, and all of the clamps so there are no boost leaks. Went with another filter that will be here beginning to mid week. Will throw it on when it gets here and should be tuning by Wednesday.

TopgunZ 04-17-2016 09:51 PM

This is how it will look if you use the Bosch, Turbosmart dual or any other 1" valve.
http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7cd92g9g.jpg

And like this if you swap in anything else. Just swap it in where the 1" T coupler is.

That Tial is nice....what model is that? Was this the one u were initially using Topz that u saod was loud a F***.....I mean not.in those exact words but u know what I mean....Lol

TopgunZ 04-18-2016 07:30 AM

Yes I used that tial to tune with and that was all. It is the QRJ. Be careful if you order this as you have to order the inlet and outlet separately and make sure you get the 1.5psi spring. It was just too loud for me and my quiet neighborhood.

BOLIO 671 04-18-2016 08:00 AM

Where did u order yours from?

TopgunZ 04-18-2016 08:42 AM

TiAL QRJ Boost Control Diverter Valves, Flanges Adapters

Here. You can see all the additional equipment you can get with it. Which is pretty cool that this model is customizable.

Then I got the adapter pipe from Ebay. SRE 2 5" Aluminum Turbo Blow Off Valve Adapter Pipe Tial 50mm 2mm Thick | eBay

EVOHUNTER 04-18-2016 10:39 AM

does this get rid of the flutter?

I need to figure this out, my car sounds like a turkey.

TopgunZ 04-18-2016 10:41 AM

When I first had it on and I was making 9.5psi it didn't flutter at all. Then after the intake mod and dyno making closer to 13psi, you can hear it at the right moment with the right throttle and rpms. It is no where near what the Turbosmart is.

BTW. When do you get back on the dyno?

EVOHUNTER 04-18-2016 03:51 PM

Im on the dyno may 23rd, im going to tackle this BPV this up coming weekend.

TopgunZ 04-18-2016 08:37 PM

I can't remember, What pulley setup do you have on or what will it be when you do?

EVOHUNTER 04-18-2016 08:57 PM

not sure to be honest lol..
serpentine side - stillen 9 psi.
stock jack
2.75 blower side.
stock impeller.

TopgunZ 04-18-2016 09:55 PM

Dang man. You will be over max impeller speed by 13k. Risky but while it holds together it should make some crazy power.

Topz....so the 9psi pulley from Stillen overspins the blower? I remember you posting something about this a few posts back about why Stillen has you sign the waiver. Or is it when you go Air 2 Air that causes it to overspin the supercharger? A little confused about this.

If your stock everything stillen and have the 9lb pulley your overspinning?

TopgunZ 04-19-2016 07:44 AM

Superchargers are driven by belts so by going Air to Air would have zero effect on how fast the supercharger spins. The one and only thing that changes it is pulley ratio.

Yes, with just the 9psi pulley you do slightly overspin the blower. There are guys that have been doing this for years. There are mustangs overspinning by much more than this. The only one I have heard of letting go is Jwicks but he wasn't all that confident in his rebuild when he put the 928 upgraded impeller in.

Vortech puts a rating on there to cover their product. If they didn't guys would be spinning them at ridiculous speeds then asking for a free one when it breaks.

The way I look at it is that I have never seen a post like "I put the 9psi pulley on, now my supercharger is toast".. or something like that. If there were more instances then I would worry.

With just the 9psi pulley it overspins it by about 3K. Now if you were to overspin it by 10K+, then I would advise against it. Guys are overspinning the V2 units by 15K, but those are fed oil differently.

EVOHUNTER 04-19-2016 09:03 AM

Im going to run the stock serp, stock jack and 2.75 charger.

54000k, should be ok? hahah

TopgunZ 04-19-2016 09:27 AM

Shouldn't have any problems with that config. I swapped my COG setup in last night. This will put me at 56K.

Topgunz was spot on with figuring out what filter would work best with the air to air setup. Fits almost perfectly and sits in there very snug. From the front you can see that this setup will be getting plenty of cold air. For the filter to fit better and for piece of mind, I used a small 1/8"x 1/2" rubber spacer that I placed on the lip of the supercharger inlet before I slipped on the air filter. This just allowed for a much tighter grip.

TopgunZ 04-19-2016 02:36 PM

Lookin' Good Evan! That rubber spacer will be included with all future kits.

Pauly Z 04-19-2016 03:05 PM

Where can I get one of those? Part number? I have been looking all over for something like that.

Buy a kit and it comes with it.

Pauly Z 04-19-2016 03:10 PM

Lol, really. I don't need a kit. I would have if it was out sooner. I'm getting the car tuned right now. But that's a whole other issue.

Sorry for the "jump-in"!

The Air-suction point is in a warm place!

Do not you want to optimize the fresh intake air something?
A pipe laying in the front region of the front,
or in the left pane in the wheel!
Where the fresh air is still cool!

Just so my idea?!
