Will do

StillenZ84 04-06-2016 12:31 PM

Good luck in a few hours! 500+ all day!!

TopgunZ 04-06-2016 01:27 PM

Judging by the way she felt on the road Sunday, it must be into the 500's. I think the sound of the Tial gave me a 25 shot! Theres so much air coming from that monster that if I pointed it backwards it would act like a turbine and propel me forward a bit..lol.

I do have another trick up my sleeve to pick up a few more ponies. If it works well, which I am pretty sure it will, it will become a part of the kit and not add any cost.

My only worry is that since I have never dealt with the shop, they might tell me to "wait in the lobby" and I will not be able to take any video of it. I guess we will see in a few hours.

JWillis72 04-06-2016 02:15 PM

Are you going to be able to before and after of your new trick or is it already on the car?

StillenZ84 04-06-2016 06:14 PM

500+!!!!

JWillis72 04-06-2016 06:19 PM

I'm sure he will be over 500 with E85.

Oh he is but ill let him spill the beans haha

2016 04-06-2016 06:38 PM

I've been waiting!!!! So excited to see the results!!

TopgunZ 04-06-2016 06:47 PM

Flash update. Not done tuning, but it made 527whp 414 tq. Had to change a few things quick. Will post final results soon.

TopgunZ 04-06-2016 06:52 PM

Oh left out the worst, best part!! Made that power at 6800rpm. Then, belt slip city.

jwick 04-06-2016 08:19 PM

Even if that's all it makes, 527/414 should be a blast to drive!

TopgunZ 04-06-2016 09:14 PM

I will do a full report tomorrow. But here is the graph of the best pull, or otherwise least slip. Remember I have the 9psi pulley and 3.0 sc pulley.

You can see we theorized how much can be made when I put my cog setup on. 14.5psi for 620whp.

So for the kit it seems the 3.0 is now overkill. All you need is the 9psi pulley, the a2a setup and you should make over 500whp easily.

The "trick" I used was inlet design. I did some research and development and superchargers need to gather air from all around it's volute/blades. Any bends that are close to its blades will choke it out immensely. They are very sensitive to this.

Wow!! Very nice numbers and stellar work!!

BOLIO 671 04-07-2016 02:30 AM

Awesome feedback....Could you please throw some vids up as soon as possible.....We're all dying to get a peek of this beast! Any vids will do at this point...

swiss370Z 04-07-2016 02:32 AM

And some Pics from the Installation

BTW: Great Numbers!

Rusty 04-07-2016 06:53 AM

That's some hellacious curves.

TopgunZ 04-07-2016 08:08 AM

I was just looking at the FI finished builds list and it appears this build has the highest torque ever on a supercharger. 4wtq more than the twin supercharger setup from GTM! Also, I am 3rd on horsepower but as soon as that belt slip is eliminated it will easily take the number 1 spot in that as well.

Chuck33079 04-07-2016 08:24 AM

Dude, you broke 500whp with a Stillen (kinda). That alone is a record. And it's safer than 400whp with a box-stock Stillen kit to boot.

TopgunZ 04-07-2016 09:32 AM

Here is a few more pics for you guys.

Jayhovah 04-07-2016 11:47 AM

Incredible! 500whp is going to become the regular around here.

TopgunZ 04-07-2016 02:04 PM

So my kit came with a 2.90" serpentine pulley. I was told that is the 9psi stillen pulley. It mustn't be. A few other guys have told me that their 9psi stillen pulley measures at 2.75". This is baffling as with that pulley and stock everything else, the supercharger is spinning at 56,611 rpms. It is only rated for 53K. Is this why stillen makes you sign the waiver? They are selling that pulley knowing it overspins that supercharger by 3,600rpms.

theDreamer 04-07-2016 02:19 PM

So when I post you on the FI build thread do I put Stillen*

*Running a proper setup. :p

TopgunZ 04-07-2016 02:27 PM

Lol. Yeah I guess??? :D

Oh and Jwillis..... The tuner had me hook up my fuel pressure regulator to a boost source..Lol.. :ugh2:

What pulley setup are you going with? Trim? Fuel?

Pauly Z 04-07-2016 06:26 PM

V3 trim stock pulley (for now) ID1000 injectors with cjm s-1s fuel system with ecutek.

Yes

Did you dyno it before the a2a?

Pauly Z 04-07-2016 06:38 PM

I'm all set up for a V2 with Z1 pan spacer but I'm going to get this going right now cause the charger is just rebuilt from Vortech. After I get the trans and engine built I will step it up.

Never had it on before. Didn't want to. I bought the kit 2 years ago for $800 to do this a2a and then life happened. (Had my son) But now I'm about done.

I was hoping for a true before and after without any changes but I'm sure someone will do it, sounds like you are doing it right!

TopgunZ 04-07-2016 07:30 PM

Do yourself a HUGE favor and ditch the inlet boot. Trust me.

I did before and after testing and picked up 3psi.

Can you show me a pic of what you did? I don't see how anything else would fit in that space.

I know not all dyno are equal but it should still give a pretty good idea of the difference since a lot have dynoed their cars with the a2w.

You need to put a filter right on the supercharger. But, at the moment, it requires you to remove the bracket. I'm working on a fix.

What size is the intake on the V3?

TopgunZ 04-07-2016 09:49 PM

3.5
