Three of the four are sold so anyone that wants one out of the first batch, speak up! BTW: all of the parts are in and I plan on making the spacers tomorrow morning. As soon as I have all of the parts and know what size box and the total weight is I'll post here again. I'm planning on shipping via USPS Priority Flat Rate Box.

Sure. I have three feet of 6061 stock so I can make a bunch of them, when I have the time.

All four kits have been spoken for but I have extra spacers if you need one.
The only hold up are the pulleys, they will be here Wednesday. All of the spacers were made this morning and all of the belts were done this afternoon. Once I get the pulleys in I will be ready to ship. I will PM with details to the lucky first four. I'll get another batch going probably in June. Life for me is about to get really crazy! I've got a full time job and a audio / video production business and I have 19 concerts to do from now till the middle of May. I still have 7 concerts in the works too. I needed a break and working on the lathe is good therapy..........

Just wanna make sure I'm doing the right things here haha.
I've ordered a Stillen kit used from a forum member. Comes with a Turbosmart 25mm BOV, and an upgraded license, as well as brand new bearings since a track day took out one of them. I do need to supply the fuel pump and refill the SC oil. Link: Part out! Stillen Supercharger kit, Gen 3 CAI, Hotchkis Sway bars, others I'm lucky enough to be on the list to receive on of the next batches of A2A kits. I am also lucky enough to receive the one of the first batch of TBatt's extra pulley mods. I feel solid on the DIY install when it comes to the mechanics of it and I've reviewed the Stillen book for the basic kit install, as well as the "Supplemental" instructions (Link: 370Z Stillen supercharger DIY instructions) from one of the forum members detailing pitfalls and ways to make the install more efficient. Things I think I need to order: Aeromotive Stealth 340 lph pump SC Oil Some questions: Is the fuel return system necessary staying under/around 9 psi? Are the Stillen-supplied injectors large enough for staying under/around 9psi? Plan: Modify SC kit as necessary for A2A conversion pre-install when it arrives Monday Install fuel system components as necessary as soon as they arrive Once Topgunz conversion arrives, install the whole she-bang, flash the ECU, and hopefully have an appt to get her properly tuned at Z1 (Where my current tune is from) or SOHO (2 hrs closer) I've read this entire thread start to finish and I appreciate and hope to learn from all of it as well as add my own 2 cents down the road. Any feedback I can get, I do appreciate. Thanks in advance! -Brett |

Good to see you are doing your research before jumping into the FI world. Looks like you are on your way to a good start here. There are a couple things that might need to be addressed. I don't think your Turbosmart BOV will hold up very well with Tops A/A kit, you will most likely have to upgrade to the Tial like most others have had to do.
As for the fuel injectors, if you are staying with the stock kit (impeller & pulley) then you should be fine with using the 600cc injectors that the kit comes with but they will be high in their duty cycle. If you plan on upgrading the impeller or pulley at all then you might want to think about larger ones from the get go. If you don't plan on going over the 500+whp mark then you should need to worry about a fuel regurn system either. If you do end up seeking more power down the road then you will want to keep that in mind. When it comes to getting tuned there are many different opinions on this. If you are happy with Z1 and staying with the UpRev tune then by all means stay with them. With that being said, have you checked out Soho's 370Z? That thing is frickin unreal. I doubt you would be disappointed going to them for a tune if they are a couple hours closer. And like the majority of the peeps here will tell ya, you should think about going the EcuTek route. Even with the updates from UpRev they are still behind the technology that EcuTek provides. That is my 2 bits on your situation but I am sure others will chime in with their opinions as well. That's the beauty of this forum. Lots of people with different experience to understand what suits your specific needs the most. Good luck with your build! |

Welcome to the group Brett....you seem to have everything well planned out...I agree with Bhunts advise on the BPV....I initially did the Turbosmart and got rid of if to upgrade to the Tial. In regards to ur fuel system that will depend l. I am only on the 9lb pulley and the A2A kit maxed out my Injectors at 7k. So I ended up doing an entire fuel upgrade with CJM....I figured it was worth it since I was in there already and the car was already being worked on. The cheaper option to an upgrade was a Return with a bigger pump. But then again it all goes to what ur long term goals are. If ur planning to upgrade ur impeller or blower then ur better off upgrading ur fuel system (Injectors/RFS/485 pump). The Stillen supplied injectors are really junk.
Can't wait to see ue results when ur done man...

Where do you guys order all your parts from? I've used Z1 for the parts that I've purchased so far (all theirs anyways haha).
Thanks for the replies! Medium term?, honestly, I'd like to get to about the conservative limit for the 7AT... It was tough talking the wife into the SC and current upgrades, so that'll have to suffice until I get a real job in a few years and can afford to upgrade the tranny and bottom end for longer term goals. I figure I'll heed the advice and go with the CJM fuel system S1-SE, I think it is, and try to pick up a set of ID1000s, but how high can the 340 fuel pump go? I'm not sure how much I can go "a little over-budget" before she gets wary haha. I know that you gotta have a money set away for just in case, especially boosted, so I don't want to use too much of that, you know? The counter-argument of course is buy it now so it doesn't fail haha. I'm tryin' my best here. |

As far as who to order from, supporting the vendors here will usually get your the best price (as a forum member) and also supports the forum... If I am buying brand new stuff I usually shop at Z1 and they have always taken great care of me.. any fuelling components I buy directly from CJM because he is one of the best sponsors on the forum and I want to support him.

I'm running the Stillen provided 255 pump and 600cc injectors and the duty cycle is at 75% so you should be fine. Talk to Charles at CJM (great guy) and see what he says. His products are top notch!!!
If I was doing it all over I would probably have gotten at least 750cc injectors to give me a little more safety once I get to my power goal but I think I will be fine in the long run. I have 5K miles on my car since the SC install and other than a bad fuel pump early on and a bad throttle cable everything has been great. Expect a few gremlins during your install. They are most always there but can be gotten rid of with a little work. Good luck and please, start a build thread so that we can help you out if needed. Tim

I'm sorry to bring in some noob questions so late in the game, but on the Z1 and CJM websites, ID725, 850, and 1000 injectors are all the same price. Is there any reason that I shouldn't just buy the 1000s? I also intend on getting CJM's S1-SE fuel system and I just wanted to order it all at once. I'll start my build thread probably tomorrow with an inventory when the SC kit arrives. Also, are there any coupon codes associated with the forum for CJM? I'll buy from them regardless, just based on feedback here, but just wondering. Thanks!
