1200cc would be more than perfect if you have e85 plans but you can also achieve that with 1000cc and the 340 pump. 1000cc is your best bet. with the 750cc you'll be at 75-80% duty cycle...

Question from first post update, what does the all in one gauge monitor? |
Quote:
This one, it has about what you need to start off. I do like the greddy profect a lot. It has boost by gear, and I can mount it in my ash trey when not using it. I would really like to keep the 3.93 in the rear. I was thinking the profect with a af gauge and oil temp. or just the one gauge with the bc, af, and shift light. |

I'd look into running this Zeitronix LCD : Four value display for the Zt-2 Wideband Engine Datalogging System I seriously considered it until I stumble across the Greddy Multi-Gauge |
How long did the kit install take jwick for the bp kit?
|
Quote:
My buddy and I did it over two weekends. I'd call it 4 days total. I could of done it faster but I didn't want to rush it. Remember that I was the first to install it on a G so there was some wasted time going back and forth making everything work. I also am the only one I know of that used a remote mount thermostatic filter relocation plate so we had to deal with an extra oil line. That timeline included all the gauges and electrical work too. |
It also depends on how smoothly everything goes. You can get a big head start by downloading the PDF of the build instructions and doing as much for-work as possible.
Things like: Taking off bumper, crash bar, intakes, sway bar, manifold, injectors, plugs, cats, pump, etc.... Then when your kit shows up you can just start whipping that shitt on. I bet you could have it all on in 20-25 hours if you do all the removal work before you get the kit. After having done it already I bet a guy could put this kit on in a single weekend if he didn't have to reference the instructions and everything went smoothly. |
Thanks guys for the heads up. I will get a head start on it this weekend. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the demon bolt removal.

Just kit with no jewelry, I'm pretty sure a couple guys could knock this out in one weekend if one of them had done it before. It'd be a long as weekend though. Of course the V-1.5-2 IC piping helped a ton with install time. |
A long weekend (4 days) for install is easily doable.

Anyone running Oil Catch Can with there BP Kit?
|
I want to but on top of a good setup being pretty pricey, I haven't found a good location for it in an already crowded engine bay.
|
I threw both oil coolers behind the intercooler, relocated the ps cooler, relocated windshield wipe res, and threw a custom dual saikou michi on the driver side

I did go beat on the car last night in this 40deg weather. I forgot how much faster it is below 50. :driving: |

There is quite a few catch cans on the market with low cost involved. |
Hey guys, I have a quick question about gauges, what do you guys think about the GReddy multi gauge?
16001710 GReddy I would have to buy the gauge then a few addons. Does anyone run these gauges? and would they fit in a side pillar? As far the catch can, I believe I will get one as some point, but that is lower on the list ATM. I want to buy the gauges and bc by the end of sunday. |

I run that gauge. It's great but it's discontinued. |

BP turbo build/advice
I see you're looking into gauges. Can't go wrong with innovative Motorsports. Also I didn't go pillar. Here's my thread on the gauge "swap" I personally would go boost, a/f, and oil pressure. Also take a look at Podi. They make very good quality parts and they're dual electronic gauges can save some space. But if you really want to ball out you should buy the Defi multi gauge. Spot on and shows all the data at once using hard wired sensors like any other "real" gauge. No obd2 ****.
http://www.the370z.com/exterior-interior/97480-replaced-my-factory-gauges.html Edit. Just remembered you have a g37 lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Thanks for the input. Yeah i don't think i have bid enough balls to do what you did. I will prob go with the gale force pillar. I know i want a/f, boost, oil pressure and fuel pressure. Lack of fuel=lean condition and melted pistons... Anyone know of a gauge that will show both oil and fuel pressure as i am limited to two pods with what i want to do

Check out Podi for real. They're a/f uses the innovative sending unit so it's the same ****. But they have 2 in one gauges that work great. My buddy's been running them in his fully built gli for years. The sending United are also very responsive. Left my prosports in the dust when it came to accuracy lol If you're really serious about saving space. Check this out.... It's the real deal http://www.defi-shop.com/products/ad...zd/summary_zd/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
