Nice. I see you went with safety wire instead of those SS ties. Good choice. If you've never safety tied before shoot me a PM with you number and I'll talk you thru it.

Not at this time, I will reach my goals on 93. I want to finish up the car and see my 500-550 hp and tq in the 400-450 range. My tuner has a heart breaking dyno which will show low numbers. To top it off my brother has a fully built DE and made 500 hp and 499 tq, so the goal is to beat him! He does have a super charger with keelefred high lift cams and a fully built lower end. So it will be close and I cant wait to go to our local track. On top of that, I really am a audiophile so after this build next year I will put in audio. I will go with a five channel amp and have components front and back with a sub. SQ FTW!!

OK officially pissed. I'm having Nissan install my clutch and flywheel. Quoted me last summer for $500. They call me this am and tell me it's another 4 hours to install the cmc. Um........from my reading on here it has to be rebuild or replaced anyways during a clutch install unless they were figuring on using the original slave for the quote instead of my HD slave. I'm pissed and confused. Cmc has the be replaced or rebuilt. Am I wrong or are they screwing me. $800 for clutch install now.......wtf

Chuck33079 03-16-2016 09:57 AM

The CMC should be another hour, max. It's accessible from the top.

They are both screwing you and not screwing you.
The CMC replacement IS additional labor.
The CMC replacement SHOULD NOT take 4 hours and there is no way it says that in their service guidance. Should be an additional 1-1.5 hours.

Parts I provided were flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, HD csc, cmc, redline transmission fluid, clutch fluid and insulated clutch line. $1600 just in parts. Southbend stage 3 DD and lightweight steel flywheel. I want to see their book on cmc I agree........ Not happy

Awesome Z quoted me an hour and it ended up taking them close to three. Apparently it's a bitch to get the thing back in there.

TcRocket 03-16-2016 10:26 AM

Called another Nissan dealership they said their book hours for cmc is 1.3 hours. There WILL be a war tomorrow when I go to get the car. Book hours is book hours at a dealership. I used to work construction we only got paid what the bid was for. Same concept at a dealership far as I see it. They did say they would take $100 off 4 hour extra from original quote,........

That sounds more like it. They'll probably give you some BS that the extra labor was also because the CSC was aftermarket and it took longer to bleed. :ugh2:

Got your PM. I responded with my cell. Hit me up when you are ready to wrap and I'll talk you thru the safety wiring.
