Yes, my filter was super dirty. My parents live on a dirt road and I visit them just about every weekend. Why didn't I clean it earlier? Because I'm lazy. I should of said she sucks in air a lot easier now and not freely. I have driven 11k+ miles on that filter DDing her through rain and shine. Whatever dust, dirt, water, bug gets pilled on and baked/dried on as I drive her more. Of course it will clog up some and not get as good of a vacuum compared to new.

But 11k+ miles on that filter and my car still pulls like a train! She is just noticeable louder now that's all. As for servicing the Filter. You have to drop the turbo which includes 2 clamps and 4 nut/bolts. Get a second hand to help hold the turbo or have somehting to rest it on as you pull the dirty filter off. Mine was minorly melted onto the turbo itself. I used a thin screwdriver and broke the seal all the way around it and she wiggled right off.

Anyhoo, didn't make it to the Drag strip because it was wet out.

Happy boosting! I know I am.

How does this kit compare to the AAM Stage 1, mainly in terms of reliability and durability?

If you're RHD, this one's not on your list.

My first one was major league melted. Had to buy a replacement. Sent pics to the manufacturer and they said they had never had that problem. If this one does the same I'm gonna switch to something else.

Hmmm, this is a bit odd. I know one of the local guys had this issue, buy it was due to being on the dyno for a few hours...and there was no (or very little) airflow though the engine bay.

Perhaps I will have to buy a set of headers, and look at making a heat held.

Is there any room to pipe the intake up and forward away from the exhaust?

I thought I sent you a picture. It was very bad, confounded the guys at Buschur Racing too. The pics are lost now since some swell citizen stole my phone.

Bumping an old BP thead.. has anyone had any problems with overboosting? I'm tuned on pump and E85. I'm overboosting by 2 lbs on each of my tunes. An 02 sensor code came up so I replaced that. But I'm currently not showing any codes and this has been going on for months. I think one of my wastegate vacuum lines got exposed to too much heat. The shop that upgraded my clutch might have reinstalled the lines incorrectly. Or the wastegate isn't actuating properly. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking about just redoing all of the vacuum lines at this point...

Also. I couldn't find any holes or burn marks on my vacuum lines

Best way to check is to pressure test your vacuum lines to about 10psi.

Unless you are using Ecutek to control boost there is nothing the car can be doing to cause overboost. You either have an issue woth the WG or boost controller. Is it consistently 2lbs over or will it continue to build boost for as long as you keep your foot in it?

I am running ecutek with boost through the ECU. It spikes 2 lbs over very erratically. The only reason I know it's overboosting is because I noticed the peak boost was way over what its tuned for

Then I have no clue. I’m still running UpRev.
