Yeah, that is way too low. That first 45 degree coupler needs to be cut back...the side that goes on the turbo outlet. You should not see more than 1/2" of this pipe below the front subframe.
The cut needs to be made at a bit of an angle too..use a new/sharp utility knife and it it will cut easily. If you screw it up, I'll send you a replacement for free.

Here is a side view vid of the kit to show how tucked up the BP turbo kit is.

That AN fitting being in the open like that would worry me. A timely placed rock and you might start losing oil.

Mesh it. Go to the hardware store and grab some black mesh (or spray paint it black), zip ties, maybe a 2x sided tape to attach a tab or something to zip the mesh to.

Anyone have a picture of the cut rubber housing that connects the cross pipe to the turbo

Hey guys, I am at a crossroads on the BB vs JB turbo. I need to make up my mind on this today because it's going down in the books tomorrow. I've been told that the response time on the BB is better but an advantage of JB is that should a lubrication problem occur there would be less chance of damage. Chime in.

The compressor cover outlet should also be very close to the transmission (about 1/4"), so clocking is very important when it comes to getting maximum height on the crossover pipe. You can see here how tucked up this should be: This is also with a 2.5" pipe, the kits that you guys got have the 2.25" pipe under the transmission, so it would be slightly higher as well. You Can see here, 2.5" pipe is only about 3/8" lower than the oil pan. The 2.25" would be only about 1/8" lower:
