Oh ya it's in a brutal spot

I invested in a maxjax hoist for my garage last august, best investment ever, whish I woulda had it when I was installing the kit last winter.

Where did you get the replacement filter from?

Also I installed the 85mm on the weekend :driving:

Jinxx 02-17-2017 03:40 PM

Haven't replaced it yet ... was hoping on a different style or a smaller filter for that spot ... I'll have to get it out to compare ...... can you feel the difference from the pulley change ?

Still lots of snow here, still a couple months till its back on the road

Installing new parts for now lol, new 32mm front sway bar, cjm fuel return

I'll be running 110 octane this summer, with a retune on ecutek from seb I should be making some decent power

tiller 03-26-2017 04:07 PM

Little update on my car,

Cj fuel return lines are installed, working on the fuel pump and hat right now.

Megan front swaybar installed

Seibon ts vented hood should be arriving tomorrow:excited:, hopefully it helps with getting some heat out of engine bay, hopefully make some good power on 110 octane this summer.

I haven't had any issue with engine bay heat ..... I just ordered a new air filter mine was destroyed from the exhaust pipe ... need a heat shield made .... I did buy another nismo ... a 2017 this one is black .....I still have the white one as well ...will be adding a boosted performance kit to it soon

Huh? So the filter sits so close to the exhaust that it gets ruined? It must suck in a lot of hot air then. :icon14:

Jinxx 03-27-2017 09:15 AM

Yes it's very close to exhaust the worst part of the kit in my opinion... but not really any other options that I know of ...

Iam not having trouble with heat but I no when I pop the hood after coming back from a good canyon tour you can cook an egg on the motor, heat rises so it makes sense to vent or else it just heat up intake pipes and temp, and then so on and so on, plus the hood looks badass :happydance:

Plus a stillen front bumper and fast intention tow bar cuz that stock tow bar cuts intercooler in half, it's a must have

Jinxx 03-27-2017 09:52 PM

Tow bar? Front bumper reinforce bar .... that's covering the intercooler.... I didn't think that would matter since the bumper is covering it anyway ....

I took my reinforcement off and well air gets in front of all you car when it goes into your bumper so essentially it is covering it and was gonna ask you guys if it's worth running a heat shield for the intake underneath and also I've always wondered after how many miles do we need to change the supercharger oil? Don't worry I haven't had the kit on for too many miles lol

Belt/Fluid/Filter is every 50,000 miles per Rotrex, but honestly, I would cut that in half. I went through belts every 20-25k miles anytime I did that I changed fluid & filter.

Heat at the intake were my issues during the dyno tune. I 'm not so sure heat would be a problem at speed. But on the dyno, a floor fan is going to help a lot! I did not have a floor fan when I tried tuning with the 88mm pulley. Hence, I could not get power out of that pulley.
Back to the drawing board.
