I'll hope for the best and plan for the worst. The "they" in this particular case has changed so that will feed into the hope. =)

Call JTran and see if they can work you in. It only takes Johnny about three hours to tune you from scratch. |

Right on.. if I can switch to Ecutek too I think it's a no-brainer.

Edit: I read it wrong, but yeah I agree with everyone else on a dyno tune instead of a canned tune.

12/18 is still 2 more weeks away, unless you are suggesting he has pictures and videos from the future!

Since YzGyz is sooooooo impatient.. I'll share whatever I can as an update... =)
After reading through the manual 3 times, I sent Gamma 17 questions about it (some just general, some pointing out some obscurities, and some pointing out inconsistencies or mistakes in the manual). This did not surprise me, as it was version 1 of the manual and hopefully the first group of us going through this can help them refine the instructions... I sent the questions in on Thursday last week, but haven't gotten any answers yet. In some email exchanges today, Amin told me their techsupport folks are still catching up from the holidays.. Also understandable. More on the email exchanges: I linked up with GrooveStyle who is also doing his V3 install on a similar timeline and found out Gamma is working on an Ecutek tune for the kit and is swapping his Uprev out.. So naturally I contact them to see if I can do the same. I am waiting for confirmation that the canned tune will at least be ready by the time I have to drive the car home, but he already told me they are willing to swap it out even though Ecutek is more expensive. Should save me a few bucks in having to buy the Ecutek product at the very least. So far, I am pretty pleased with the interaction and service I am getting from Gamma. Also.. I bought a boost gauge and test pipes. I am super excited! Can't wait for BOOOOOOST.

Just as an FYI... The guys running GTM are not technical car guys... I.e. They will have to ask Sam or a previous employee about the kit in order to answer your questions... I have stripped my kit twice and put it back together. My recommendation would be for you to post up your questions here and let us get you an answer... Most likely we will be able to answer it faster than gamma...

Hey bullitt, or anyone running the hammerhead GTM oil pan and a TT kit.... should we still go with something like the 34 row Setrab cooler if we ever want to take it to the track? Or will a 25 row or something medium-sized be sufficient due to the increased oil capacity of the pan?
I'd like to be able to take my car to a road course, but don't want to be fighting over-cooling all the time on the street. I will have a thermostatic sandwich plate, but still thought I'd ask, not sure how much more heat we'll be dealing with for these snails... |

Tony at FI says they have heat issues with anything under a 34 row. I'm running a 25 row with my BP kit and I never deal with heat issues but the G has more grill area. |

My kit has arrived! WOOOOOP!
Is that true even on the V1 kits? I never bothered to count rows when I installed it. Either way I have no cooling issues but I'm running about 8-8.5 qrts of oil with all the lines, oil cooler and pan spacer. Last edited by jwick; 12-07-2015 at 10:24 AM. |

My car is still running the 25 row. I don't necessarily have "heat issues" but it will get hot on super warm days (95 degrees or above) For the average street driver I think a 25 row does the job however if you want to track it you definitely need to upgrade to the 34 row
