The problem I was refering to was that I remember someone mentioning a while ago in this thread that more research needed to be done on this system for the 370z before it was released since it wasn't working right but I'm guessing it was the problem that tower74 mentioned

A custom tune will solve that issue. You will benefit more from a custom tune. STS does send there's but custom tune will benefit the car best

That is true but they (Vernon) will help in any way. At the same time here in KC if it's not a Honda or mustang your kinda screwed. Hell the shop I had mine installed was full of mustangs....2 twin turbos being installed, a twin corvette, another single mustang...seeing a pattern here?
I know of only one other mod'd 370z in town and he was waiting to the numbers on mine before he changed from his Stillen SC to the STS.

Ohhh you will some when I call you tomorrow about the CF Amuse kit..:leghump:....Still looking might have to drive to STL to find someone. At the same time that kit will help ease my pains.

I have about 2500 miles on my STS kit, manual transmission, I haven't had any issues however it was initially tuned in Utah and when i had it re-tuned here to my elevation it did make a world of difference. STS includes the uprev license with the kit so all it costed me was the dyno time. Only problem I have is having to wait untill spring to get back behind the wheel, it can't come soon enough!

Have u talked to MKC (modified by kansas city) about tweeking the tune on your car? my roommate just had his sti done there friday and they seem to have a pretty solid business going there. when i was there he had a few 9 sec hondas (of course), 2 supras, a couple evos, an rx2... basically u name it, he tunes it. give chad up there a call and see what he can do for you

Hit me up with a text with there number. When I get back in town in mid Feb I'll hit them up. They can probably fix the warm start issues as well and maybe pick up a few more HP.

yeah...Just the warm start issue. Trust me everytime I go to the shop that installed the system and tell them what I have found out and how to fix it the problem, I get the run around on when they can get to fix the problem. I'm hoping this other shop in town (if I ever get to see it) can fix the issues. It appears they do more than just hondas or cumstangs.

data log your info with the cipher software and send it into uprev for them to take a look at to fix the issue with the tune. will be easier than finding a shop that knows the vq platform....

tower74 01-16-2012 11:02 PM

And where can I pick said software?

Chinook 01-17-2012 06:28 AM

If you recieved the uprev cable as part of your kit the licensing agreement should be included as part of the cable then you go to uprev and download the program. The cost should be included as I'm pretty sure sts has payed for the programs already, at least they had with mine. If you talk to sts I'm sure they will walk you through it if you need.
