Is it internal or external wastegate and what psi does it run at without boost controller?

Edit: i think i asked the same question.... whatever, it's late and i'm tired. :D

I do not yet have a boost controller i plan on putting one on during the winter and probably adding a water/meth kit. It is an external wastegate and i am running at 7 psi currently. I want to play it safe for a bit and bump up the boost after i know all is good.

redyno?

it was recommended due to the change in elevation I'm at 2200' and where it was dyno'd in Utah i believe he said it was 4400-4800' so i'm in for a dynotune tomorrow. it is also running quite rich right now so i am told there is probably a bit of room to play. at w.o.t my air/fuel is at about 10.2 and sts recomends to be around 11.8.

Bumpin for some updates been about a week. How did the tune go? Hope you got some pics of everything and maybe some vids. With what it is going to cost me for 7AT upgrades I'm still exploring this option.

Robert you have my number

Mr&Mrs 09-22-2011 02:11 PM

Yep and I have been holding off calling you for months now. I have the money to do everything I'm just trying to make sure I'm happy with my choice. Plus I may ditch this project for something else coming out in April next year ;-)

Jamaica 09-22-2011 02:25 PM

call me , text me lol. We can talk about the new project.

Jamaica 09-22-2011 08:29 PM

Tune went well, cars running great numbers are a bit lower since i added the resonator 418whp and 365ftlbs torque at about 7.5 psi the tuner said his dyno usually makes lower numbers than others, but numbers aside it drives great i have been in friends 370"s and a g37 and you really notice the difference. i'm kinda just playing it safe for now but will probably bump up the boost in the spring. I couldn't be happier, zero regrets!

Guess I was not very clear, I may be done with the Z and getting a BRZ or FR-S.

On topic: talked with STS Friday and currently the 7AT is not supported for their kit. The piping does not fit around the transmission. If that was already known sorry for double posting.

I am calling them again Monday to talk to one of the RnD guys to see where they are at with progress if any on making it work.

Awesome! Once your ready bump it up to 9 psi you should still be safe in that range
Also can you please get me a pic of the resonator?
