Well it was a long day and I got tired fast, but I said I would share pictures so I will post at least something. Here is the first production recirculated downpipe.

Also attached is a dyno graph from this morning.. I stand corrected, they were only spinning it to 7000.

Phunk, will these be capatible with any exhaust system? Mounting at the factory locations? Also what possible sizes will the down pipes be offered in?

phunk 10-15-2015 05:29 PM

They will bolt up to standard cat-back location so any bolt-in cat-back exhaust for the car will fit. The downpipes are 3" and then taper to 2.5" at the end for the compatible exhaust flange.

Would you consider a full 3" set also?

Does anyone make a bolt-on 3" exhaust for the car that doesnt require proprietary testpipes or downpipes? Because 3" tube is not exactly compatible with the flange. It would require a custom version of the flange and bolts spaced/oval-ed out. If nobody makes an exhaust for it anyway, then fabrication would be required no matter how we shipped it.

But otherwise, we have no reason to object! I would gladly make it whatever size someone needs. But I do not believe there would be any bolt-in 3" catback option anyway, until we make one.

Well i am going to switch over to a 3" fast intentions exhaust once I have enough money lol. If I were to switch to TT setup and with these manifolds, my own personal opinion would be a full 3" set up. AAM also has a 3" cat back

Chuck's FI exhaust is 3" and it sure appears to terminate at the standard cat pipe flange

Yes, if I remember correctly FI's 3" exhaust is just like their 2.5 system. Cat back. Also I believe AAM's system is the same. I know for sure that FI offers a full turbo back 3" setup with that exhaust

I will have to investigate and verify their 3" duals use standard flange layout and are not just proprietary for their turbo kits. If so, than we would be happy to just leave it 3", it's actually less work to build them that way.

Mine is mated to a set of gtm 3" downpipes, so I'm going to guess its the standard flange layout.

phunk 10-15-2015 07:32 PM

Alright, well I can laser cut some custom flanges with 3" openings in them, and it will fixture up to our downpipe jig just the same and we can put whatever size someone needs at the tail of the downpipe.

Charles are you doing a open dump setup as well?
