Still have trap speed record and manual trans ET record, by accident :) The stock engine power record will have to beat me by a lot more than 3-4hp to hold me back. We all just stop where we do because of existing records. We can all just go back and forth forever on it really.

But ya, I am going to push it quite a bit further than I did before. I also have some better slicks and skinnies this time thanks to being a Mustang owner for a year LOL

Good **** Charles,

I'll be looking to upgrade in the future on my VQ35HR so this certainly has my attention. Be interested on how your GTX35's spool! I'm looking to eventually have a path upgrade where turbo's won't be my limit like they are now on my GTM TT kit (stg2). I'm looking to switch to external waste gates as well away from Turbosmart actuators.

Is the 35HR and 37VHR pretty similar for your TT setup? I'm not going to be able to be a guinea pig anytime soon as I'm still having the Haltech tuning tackled to be solid before I bother upgrading to bigger turbo's.

If your car is going to be setup for those big turbo's be easy to just mimic. Be nice if you do offer some of those additional parts like downpipe plumbing for external wastegates if you do go that route.

:yum:Man !!

Charles,

Have you thought of flow testing the design? this could help determine their max rating for those doing big builds.

Sick!

Honestly hasnt even crossed my mind. There is no such thing as a power rating for an exhaust manifold. The engine feeding it and the turbos behind it far outweigh the design of the manifold itself when there are no obvious or questionable bottleneck areas or size restrictions. I already know without any flow testing that these manifolds will support more power than any turbos that are likely to fit on the side of the engine without cutting into the chassis. Unless you are talking about over 1400 rwhp (where we might step up runner diameter), Im not sure there is much conversation to have about a limitation.

These manifolds have been test fit to the HR and VHR heads. But they have not been test fit to a Z33 chassis yet. Most likely, it fits just fine. But we wont know for certain until somebody tries it!

Outstanding R&D! Intake manifold for high PSI turbo builds next?

Thanks! That probably wont be the next thing released, but it's something that will be getting done.

Nice! Keep up the good work. It's nice to see some quality parts development for the VQ.

Make some manifolds for the BP kit ;)

VQZ34nismo 09-28-2015 10:30 AM

ooo boy!!!!! say good bye to my greddy manifolds

I am not sure if new manifolds will perform much better than the stock ones in that application. The stock manifolds are pretty decent!

These are not direct replacements, although we have talked about using the same overall design to try and make a set for someone Greddy to try out. I need to check with someone else that was already working on that to see if they are going to proceed with that project.
