New Greddy kit

Has anyone heard about a new greddy kit? I purchased a greddy kit thru a local shop, and apparently their supplier ran out of a greddy product that had been discontinued about 6 months ago. They tell me greddy had another kit in the works using Garrett turbos, but I just don't know. The motor is inbuilt and I planned on running a conservative build, trying to push 450 to the wheels. Should I wait? Go for another kit? Or just get the engine built? Thoughts? If anyone has gotten their engine built, hoe much did it run you?

There has been rumors of a new Greddy kit for a while now but I haven't heard any concrete news on it. If your goal is only 450whp, skip the built motor.

Oh, and Fast Intentions TT kit FTW!!

I intend on building the motor at some point down the road, and pushing more power through it at that point, but in the mean time I'm just going to turbocharge it and run a conservative 450-500whp. That being said, does anyone know what a F.I. TT kit costs?

Give Tony a call over at F.I. You can get an accurate quote that way. Everyone's build is different so the cost may not be accurate.

Alright, I'll call him up tomorrow

Phunk is running e85.

That's a very important detail people always leave out when they mention his build.

Rob298mx 08-21-2015 10:19 PM

And yes phunk did put out 671 on e85

ourdelusions 08-22-2015 11:00 AM

The question is how accessible is e85

Garrett and Greddy worked on a new kit together. Whether or not it will actually release under Greddy or Garrett is the question. There are links on the Greddy site if you want to explore.

That being said, my money would go with Fast Intentions if I were in the market for a twin turbo setup......

GReddy is so full of **** about new parts and or kit releases, they never happen, that happened with the Scion turbo kit, new Revolution RS exhaust system, and many other turbo kits.
They are not the same anymore.

greddy is pretty muc gonna milk their old kit to death. also it seems really dumb to me to spend 10k+ on a turbo kit when you only want 450hp. get a supercharger. but then again you won't be happy with 450 and will want more so back to the turbo.

Coming from the VQ35HR world, I'm looking forward to hearing about a new Greddy kit for the 07-08's as I try to eventually get away from the GTM TT kit I have. Hopefully Greddy releases a new kit with the same or better power potential as the 20G kit with the tubular manifolds. I had the 20G kit on a DE and it was well worth it.

EDIT: Although FWIW, I will check with F.I. to see if they are interested in doing a kit for the HR - I'd be curious as to how much of their kit would be usable out of the box.

I tried buying one a while back, no dice. This is similar to hearing about Haltech eventually releasing a full standalone for VQ35HR. Been hearing that for years, eventually caved from waiting and a got an Elite 2500 -_-
