JESUS CHRIST!!! Tell me about it. Ordered in freakin April. They are in Cali and the shop couldn't afford to pay bc they had fraud on their account. So even though I paid the full amount, they apparently had't paid their supplier the full amount. So that was held for two weeks. he gets it resolved a week and a half ago, pays the supplier, says they are coming. Wait a week, no wheels. Finally get in touch today. They are shipping tomorrow. WHAAAAT????? Mother of god it's been a nightmare, but should have them beg of next week. Unbelievable it takes less time to for an entire Twin Turbo system to be constructed, installed PLUS 3 more months than it does for some flipping wheels to come in.

If you can't tell this one is clawing at me.

I was looking forward to seeing them on Saturday! Well I guess we will have make plans for the future!

Work vs-xx. I get that they take a while from the manufacturer, anything JDM will but the company tacked on an extra month with their antics. And I don't even have them yet. Needless to say its the last time. I've heard great things about VIVID Racing, but my worry would be that I don't have anywhere here to install the wing (mostly this) hood and side mirror I want. So back to square 1 of trying to find a good shop for the "looks" aspect of the Z. :/

Nice looking wheels, but they are heavy as hail. IMHO, you will feel the poorer performance if you choose a work wheel.

LOL not with 648 whp bro. The few pounds extra is not even going to be a possible measurement to even consider when you are running that kind of power. Plus the new tires will actually increase what I'm able to put to pavement.

Was 648 your final numbers? I just read threw a couple pages and never saw a dyno graph or final numbers on E85.

What kind of power are you going to keep it at for daily use?

Yes sir! at 13.2 lbs she hit 648. HOWEVER I'm making a trip to FI tomorrow, might push it a little more ;) Tony and Seb were being safe, I want the chains off! LOL

Daily use, I've actually been driving around at 9lbs. Mainly bc it's so new and I'm damn happy with the power it's putting down so far, but also bc I'm waiting for my damn new tires/wheels to come in. I have no traction as it is on the nismo tires that are supposed to be "sticky" from the dealer. It'll be at 11lbs when those come in. LOL Crazy thing is I'm not losing traction shifting gears, it's when the turbos spool that the tires just can't hold. So I have 3 settings on my boost controller. Boost contoller off (6lbs), daily drive (9-11 lbs) and a third setting when someone needs to be taught a lesson (13lbs) LOL!

Not sure how much further i would push it passed 650whp. Torque has got to be getting up there, Puts so much stress on those tooth pick rods. Ya they might not break but it sure fatigues them over time.

When my 350 was at 650whp i could hook second on concrete and thats about it. I like the Nitto NT05R's, and the ET street 2's. They only last about 3k miles but they will hook in second almost every time. I have the Toyo Tq's on my car now. They were ok in the beginning but fade off towards the end. I did manage to get 10K miles out of them. There slightly better then the R888 but not as good as the Nt05 or ETs2.

Good luck on the tuning!

Thanks man! Love the tire recommendations. Saving this just for that. I fully plan to be going through tires quite often and trying out all kinds. This is great info. Not a daily driver, so I am looking for more stick than longevity.

I'm at 665whp and I can definitely feel the difference between different wheel weights. :tiphat:
