So the shroud solves the problem, but it doesn't fit with the Frozenboost heat exchanger that everyone recommends? Not even the thinner one?

How different is the Z kit, I had the large Frozenboost exchanger and the metal shroud for the intakes

Make your own, on mine I used a piece of flat aluminum sheet metal that bent up and behind part of the lower filter and screwed to the metal bumper. The stillen one screws to the bumper and points down and back into the space where the frozen boost is.

the heat exchanger core completely covers on my install where the metal shroud is meant to go, other people who installed the larger unit, reported not installing this part also and no issues with their idle, my idle is completely fine. just keep it in mind when you do your install, if you have issues with the idle, you might have to fab something up, otherwise if you are going with the frozenboost core, you shouldn't really need to do anything |

A lil update had an issue with code P1239 from time to time. This code would of course put the Z into limp mode. Turn off back on and all good for a Day or Three. Code then started to show itself more frequent so after some research narrowed it to the jumper cable for the T/B. Mark from Stillen got me a new one shipped over. Changed out and now code free once again. Z now has 80K miles running and shifting just fine. Below is a lil fun from TX2K15 weekend!

When I installed my Frozenboost, I made a small rectangle box out of that flexible white plastic. My air filters sit in there now.
I did this because the bottom filter would still have air passing through it, even after the core install. Also, I noticed after my Fan was set to full speed all the time. it would pull air through the filter causing the mafs to get a weird reading once in a while.

Key to getting the MAX from this kit is consistent MAF readings. Any positive airflow passing over the air filters will create inconsistent MAF readings with an end result of turbulence making the Z have a sputter affect when accelerating with a result sometimes into limp mode. Since I'm running the upgraded Frozen Boost heat exchanger that is not allowing me to install the "Stillen" factory deflector, I have had the Y pipe re-adjusted a few weeks ago in cutting away some of the metal where the hood latches into place and making a little deflector from an old licences plate. This really helped with more of a consistent MAF reading allowing for a much better Z response. Oh.. And of course my 9lb pulley helps with that response too!
