oil-less turbo for rear mount?
was thinking about doing a home build similar to an sts setup but using a comp oil-less turbo. it would eliminate the use of an external oil pump but still require coolant lines ran to it. would this be to far to travel for coolant lines? or any other reason this would be a bad idea?

Go read about the STS kits that 350Z members had/have. You will probably change your thoughts on a rear mount.
|
not sure what you mean, seen a few videos of 350 and 370z's on youtube with them and everything seems fine. i did see a few post with issues with sts kit itself as far as fitment or build quality but if i plan on building myself those wouldnt be the issue.

Hey pal if you don't go with a bp turbo kit, sasha's disciples will most certainly crucify you here on the forum..

Why not go with a bp kit but with an oil less turbo? Rear mount is laggy.
|
A rear mount would be very laggy and not saying a bp kit wouldn't be a bad choice..

And yeah, OP, as mentioned the rear mount is laggy. |

Read some threads on it. What people like or don't like about the kit. Educate yourself on all the problems which will or may arise. And yes, I have heard nothing but lag stories. That is a ton of piping to charge. Plus your exhaust gasses are cooling by the time they get back there. More heat = more spool. |
Fixed, I meant to write, wouldn't instead of would..
