Does that cover up that kinda "ugly" black piece right below the front Nissan logo?

shabarivas 10-09-2009 01:41 PM

Awesome!!! could you guys make these not in CF as well? I really dont like the CF look - PM me about this / rear diffuser w/out the center foglight

gatorfast 10-09-2009 01:54 PM

Looks good. I think a body colored piece would look nice as well.

I think it would be cheaper if you had that part painted.

NewYorkJon34 10-09-2009 01:59 PM

Why would you need to make one in a non Carbon fiber style?, that piece comes already black from the factory, lol

The Carbon version will make this car's front like a GT-R just alil more, can't wait for pics

EVOR 10-09-2009 02:02 PM

This is for the front bumper.

kenchan 10-09-2009 02:34 PM

oh, so it is for the front bumper... i thought one of the guys wanted the rear vance in black (non-CF) and cover up the fog lamp entirely.

phelan 10-09-2009 05:57 PM

i thought there was a CF piece like this already, but everybody made fun of it because it looked like a mustache

209Z 10-12-2009 05:30 PM

phelan ur talkign about right below nissan symbol not the front black thing. thats what the mustache effect.

Knives 10-13-2009 10:57 AM

Definitely without. I want a cop to see that I CLEARLY have no place to mount a plate. :icon17:

EVOR 01-26-2010 09:03 AM

OKay, I'll try to make some with out the holes.

g96818 01-26-2010 12:11 PM

agreed!

KanataZ 09-26-2010 02:23 PM

Has anyone installed this product? If so, are there any pics? Would prefer to see this on a lighter coloured car since it would stand out more than on a black one.

And from those who have seen it, I would be interested in opinions on the finished product.

thanks

NewYorkJon34 09-26-2010 02:45 PM

I have him making me one without the holes, but he said it will be about another 2 weeks.

370Z JT 09-26-2010 02:46 PM

i got mine from the Z store. Fitment was blah. didnt flush on each side. Need to trim the CF a little to make it fit right.

Anybody know what's the best way to trim CF?

dremel and slowly grind it?

NewYorkJon34 09-26-2010 05:08 PM

The Z store version doesnt really look that good, evo-r's version hopefully fits better since its looks ok from the pics.

metz 09-26-2010 09:10 PM

I thought the Z store was selling evo-r parts?

NewYorkJon34 09-26-2010 11:20 PM

Not sure if those are made by evo-r

pty370z 09-27-2010 10:07 AM

This installed picture is from EVO-R's website...

That'll give people an idea on how it looks.. Hope this helps, hehe..

AllForTheCash 11-27-2010 03:19 PM

Anyone have this installed yet? How is the quality? (I know the Z-store sells one for cheaper)

EVO-R, I'm interested in purchasing this but I DO NOT want the holes for the plate!

NewYorkJon34 11-27-2010 03:51 PM

PM SENT...thanks...

atx370z 11-27-2010 05:37 PM

i ordered one and it came WITH the holes... i was not happy to say the least... i was under the impression that it wouldn't have holes.

Anyways... fitment is good though.

cab83_750 11-27-2010 05:41 PM

Does anyone think this unit would be good with driving-LED strips?

If anyone wants whit no hole, must let me know before ordering. I might even consider not to make any hole anymore. Cuz seems like that is what most people wants.

metz 11-29-2010 01:50 AM

Thats the best idea, its easy to add holes if you need them.

Stix 11-29-2010 02:04 AM

looks good from the sites pics, anyone else got pics?

VinZ 12-01-2010 01:47 AM

I'm in for one with no holes, to go with my carbon fang cover and my new carbon rear diffuser.

EVOR 12-01-2010 08:57 AM

OKay on the next shippment, I'm going to have all with no holes.

AllForTheCash 12-01-2010 09:37 AM

Any have pictures of this on their car?

KanataZ 12-31-2010 03:06 PM

3 Attachment(s)
Pictures attached.

Mine came with holes which was good because they line up exactly where the plate mounting bracket attaches.

It's a bit cold here so keep in mind that I have not yet applied the 3M tape to hold the piece in (especially the corners). The car won't be moving for another couple of months anyway. If I push it inward, it does sit flat against the bumper fascia but the part doesn't follow the line of the bumper on it's own. Hopefully the tape holds really well at the ends or this will be an issue.

Jay was great to deal with and the part arrived on the day it was expect. It came via USPS though unexpectedly from Taiwan.

Overall the piece looks really good. Out of the box, the fitment is not perfect as some of the black bumper is still visible - see close up where the top does not quite go all the way into the corner no matter how hard I push up on it. Hopefully with warmer weather. using the tape and possibly some trimming, I can get this to look even better.
