I am curious if it took you 4 hours and you are very skilled, or it took you 4 hours because it was first time doing something like this etc.

Looks great.

4 hours per side sounds about right with taking the seats out, taking them apart and install. Helps to have a second set of hands with the hog rings. Get a good set of pliers. Even the headrests are a challenge and take time. We'll worth the effort though

Looks amazing.

If I had cloth seats I'd consider doing it.

this was my first time installing something like this, so i cant say i am the most handy person for this project. But what i realized was that actual leather install time depends on how perfect you want the seats to be finished. I tried to make it as close to oem fitment as possible so i stretched, heated and massaged these leather alot. I couldve done a quicker job but wouldve left alot of wrinkles and sags. Heck im stil not quite happy with a bit of wrinkles on drivers side so i might take it out and massage a bit more, but u can call me crazy for that lol

Do these just go over the cloth seats? Or do you need existing leather seats?

Are the door inserts from the same site? I don't see them listed under the products section. That being said, how was the install on the door inserts? Did you happen to take any pictures?

You strip the seats to the padding then install the leather. Doesn't matter what it had before.

D'oh!

I kinda wish my car was older so I could justify buying these... I can't bring myself to replace <4000 mile seat covers!

That's pretty cool. Does it feel similar to factory leather in other cars?

Yes the same. But you can pick custom colors, stiching, perforation, embroidery and add heated seats. Very nice

Thanks for the info

I got a quote from a local interior shop, and they quoted me $85 per hour, with 4 to 6 hours of labor to complete the install.

Seems about right but if they need up to 6 hrs they Better do a good job on it. Leatherseats told me it usually goes for ~300-400 for whole install. Make sure the place will steam the foam. Because some places i originally got a quote from dont even bother steaming. They just skin and install. My car is less than 2 yrs old 15k miles but i was surprised how desperately they needed steaming. All these suspicions of installers not really going thorough made me decide to do install myself

Gotcha, makes sense

The shop that gave me the quote has a lot of high end restorations on Porsches on other vehicles, I'd have a lot of confidence in them doing a good job.
