Recaro Seats - need feedback

Looking at upgrading the seats next year at some point, I am too tall I guess for the toyota prius seats we get in these cars, so my legs are way too long, therefore the butt support sucks, anyway, I am looking at upgrading to Recaro, perhaps something close to or same as the 2015 Nismo Tech, it's the leg support that sucks in my opinion.

Anyway, if you have done this, pls post some pics and details, I would like to get an idea of all details involved

The seats in the 15 nismo are "similar" to the recaro sportser cs

^^^ cs sportster seats are incredibly comfortable!!! Coming from an owner of them I love them over the stocks and for daily use they are better bride Japan. They have a softer lower side bolster which will accommodate people of all sizes.

No I just mean kenchan ;)

How tall are you? I'm 6'4" and my legs feel cramped after 2+ hours driving. Never had the opportunity to sit in other seats to see if there would be more leg room.

bullitt5897 12-23-2014 04:40 PM

i am 6'2 and have tons of room. the seats sit lower giving us more head room.

I'm looking at picking up the sportsters in the next year or so. But after seats, rails, etc its expensive. Also I'm short (5'6") so I'm not entirely sure I want to stare directly at my horn while driving.

Since you live in SoCal, you're welcome to hit me up anytime to check out my setup. I have the Bride Vorga Japan seats in right now. I used to have Bride Euro II.

I've sat in a bunch of seats ranging from the Recaro RS-G, Recaro RS-G Super Stark, Recaro SR-7 Evolution, and Recaro Sportster CS.

Depending on when you swing by, you can check out our cars too. ;)

How you like Recaro SR-7 Evolution and Recaro Sportster CS compared to your Vorga?

I am 6.1 180lbs, and have long legs, I honestly feel like the edge of the seat cuts circulation in my legs, I experience this when I drive rental cars with crappy seats ... The Z has room, just the seats kill me; I didn't have this issue with BMW Seats with Sports Package or M cars which have that extended butt/leg support.
-bullitt5897, CS Sporster Seat seem like an incredible option, I wonder if it would look stupid if I only replace one seat, I can get the exact same pattern (leather/suede in black).
-OMGWTFBBQ, I will take you on that offer once I am ready to pull the trigger, much appreciated

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Yes you can get the leather/suede option. It is not perforated suede though.

The toughest part about buying new seats is finding the opportunity to actually sit in them and test the fit. The only way I've seen to buy them is online so I can't go to a store to sit in various models and brands and unless you know someone that has them you're out of luck. Many guys on the forum are more than happy to let one try theirs out but what a hassle and so inefficient. I assume there's not enough sales volume to warrant keeping a selection in stock for most shops. Bummer...

Go to SEMA... Every seat brand known to man is usually there. Check out cobra racing seats: Misano Anniversary - Sports - Cobra Seats

Fly to Vegas to check out seats? That was kinda my point: a little inconvenient. Besides it's not open to the general public and only comes once a year.
