Installing the sport package spoiler

I found a spoiler for 275.00 painted, but I know thats probably half of what ill be paying if the dealership installs it. Would this be a pretty straightfoward install or should i leave it to the dealership?

Well that depends do you have the money for the dealer to do it? if not do it your self It shouldn't be that difficult on a scale of 1 to 10 It's a 4 so go on with your bad self and decide.

sup shift... is it the genuine spoiler? or is it fiber glass.... if its the genuine spoiler its pretty straight forward to do just follow my DIY.... and it comes with instructions... the dealership here was chargin me like 200 to mount it.... JUST DO IT MAN haha  and ya its like a 4 ^^^

It's not that bad, they give you a templet to drill the holes.

yah, ive done a few and the very first hole you drill feels kinda scary
but after that no issue.

Sounds like a Virgin? :bowrofl:

Do you remember when you were a kid, and you lacked physical motor skills and coordination, i.e. you couldn't draw a relatively round circle, nor hit the hollow plastic softball on the T with the big "bam bam" wiffle ball bat?

Just kidding, I'm pretty sure you can do it. Why waste a couple hundred bucks for a "professional" to do it? Like Fuz said, there's a template with holes.

Shift 10-11-2009 07:51 PM

Installed the S-tuned spoiler on my Z, and yes the first hole is the hardest. That and aligning the template. Which I did over and over lol All in all it wasn't hard by any means.

just found out that the one i was looking at was not an actual nissan part. is that a problem and if so how much should i pay for the actual nissan spoiler?

grebnasticle 10-11-2009 09:55 PM

If you PM me your color, I can ask a friend of mine - he gets OEM stuff discounted and it would be worth the checking. I bought a spoiler for someone else and it was less than half of what the dealer asked and it was all genuine Nissan parts.
