Nissan 370z Body Kits at Andys Auto Sport

DavidZ370 12-08-2014 03:10 AM

Please stay away from that garbage.. its garbage. a rep bumper costs about the same as the whole kit that should tell you something.

cooltoy 12-08-2014 08:16 AM

Wheee! is happy with it.

speedfreek 12-08-2014 09:50 AM

Maybe so but the dimensions to the real thing and even the Aerojacket and Shine Auto reps are way off. From what I have seen the rear bumper is not as aggressive with how far it comes back after the hatch. So the recess where the license plate goes is greatly reduced. The same can be said for the sides and front bumper.

One of the following is not the same even though the watermark.

Actual duraflex bumper

Dunno where they got this render and claiming it to be their own
http://www.the370z.com/members/speed...-duraflex2.png

It may look similar but in reality it is not even close.
Now look at how agressive the real Amuse rear bumper looks

Differences covered at the bottom of the linked post in the Miscellaneous section.

Please save and buy the real thing...

btimola 12-09-2014 12:02 AM

Has anyone done the amuze rear, wing, and sides with the str front lip but sides painted? Wondering howd it look. Ive had bad experiences with fiberglass. It does trip me out that the whole kit is 689!

btimola 12-09-2014 01:04 AM

I was just trying to see if anyone has actually boughten it maybe some actual pics. I know reps suck but you never know which is why id really like someone who maybe has this actual kit?

You need to look a little harder.. its pretty easy to tell the difference IMO

cooltoy 12-10-2014 03:32 PM

Especially since they are all listed in the link I provided.

btimola 12-10-2014 03:46 PM

I saw the link is there a painted one compared bext to a painted real one

cooltoy 12-10-2014 04:08 PM

Quality of the pint job has nothing to do with the type of kit. You can have a crappy shop work on a real one and it would look worse then a good shop that worked on the Duraflex.

Anyway, this may answer your question.

Who sells the kit for a good price?

btimola 12-10-2014 08:37 PM

Who makes a good rep kit then?

When it comes to modifications you're going to pay to play. That's one thing you're going to have to accept now. Anyway, it's a good thing. Buy expensive once or cheap twice.

Chuck33079 12-10-2014 08:43 PM

Andys auto sport rips people off. And every dollar you cut corners on with body parts becomes ten when it comes time to make it fit and look good.

Aerojacket and Fly 1 Motorsport are better alternatives.

I find that rule to apply to most areas of modification.

Zoren 370 12-10-2014 08:52 PM

Believe me this what happens when you buy cheap body parts take it from me!

Fly1 has an AMS kit listed on their website, which is Duraflex. I know they make a CF replica that is good, but I did not know they made an FRP version.

The way I understand they use the same facility as Aerojacket does in a way yes they do FRP they only differ on how they market their products.

Is Shineauto in the US too?

Carbon Signal is Great but the shipping cost is a PITA!

NoLaKrewe 12-10-2014 09:11 PM

But man CS products are quite nice!

ShineAuto is in California.

I can not see an FRP Amuse rep on Fly1's site. That does not mean they don't sell one.

From what I have read AeroJacket and Shine get their kits form the same place. However for some reason I have heard rumblings about the AeroJacket not always fitting 100% (which does not make sense, if they are the same), but never any problems with Shine.

Zoren 370 12-10-2014 10:28 PM

Im actually looking to get an amuse side skirt so you think Im better off with shine?

cooltoy 12-10-2014 10:44 PM

I am not installing my kit untill the spring, but I chose Shine based on other members recommendations. Well respected members.

We make our Amuse kits in FRP, partial CF or full CF. In fact we can completely customize as we produce everything locally in LA. We don't sell Duraflex so not sure where that came from. Every picture on our site is an actual customer car.

Our Amuse kit is here: http://www.fly1motorsports.com/nissa...-full-body-kit

Shine and Aerojacket do not get their kits from the same place. This is a fact. We (Fly1) & Aero Jacket share a production facility; and that's how I know this. Since we've been vendors on here for the past 5yrs, I have yet to deal with a single customer fitment issue w/ the Amuse kits i've sold.

Hope that clears up some of the misinformation being put out there. :tiphat:

carlitos_370z 12-11-2014 05:14 AM

My opinion... if you dont have the money for the Amuse real one... go with Fly1 Motorsport, Aerojacket or Shine Auto.... i dont have plans to buy the kit right now... one of the reasons are the shipping cost to my Island... I live in Puerto Rico and almost all the parts that i want have an expensive shipping cost... but in a near future i hope to buy it cause i want to be one of the first that install an almost exact replica Amuse kit and not the Duraflex sh!t in his car around here in PR.... and trust me that are the brands that im going to check at the time to buy it cause i dont want to spent 3k in a body kit and those brands that everyone tells you and i mention... are the best replicas that you can find in the market.

Thank you. It does.

The reason I thought you were selling the Durafex kit is that when one goes on your site and touches the picture of the kit it says AMS body kit. When I google AMS I get AMS=VIS=Duraflex.

At one point, when the first sets of Sunline replicas were being offered, Aero Jacket did indeed sell a version we produced. However, we never produced parts for Aero Jacket under an Aero Jacket label, unless they intentionally misled the community.

We have our own manufacturing facility and we have our own standards for quality.
