You can have them run as DRLs, splice into the cigarette lighter wiring under the passenger's side dash (under the glove box). I also use slightly bigger gauge wires I think they are 18g. You could also wire a switch to the center console from the cigarette lighter so you can turn them on and off whenever you please. (as long as car is on, I don't remember if it works with accessory mode)

I am re-doing my HL's and looking into wrapping them CF. So I have yet to wire these ones. But that is what I did for me side shine LED strip when I had them.

Ya,I did some research and found that in Canada the the lights are programmed to run all the time,where as the states aren't required to do so. I pulled my drl fuse and the lights turn off on that setting. So I just have to wire the halos up to some other power source. So the cigarette lighter should do the trick?

Yes it will work. It worked for me so I don't see why not. I also used a toggle switch to have the option of turning them on and off whenever I please. Good luck and keep us posted.
