Here are some photo of the new version. Alot lighter and easier to install. Screw holes are pre drilled. Top part of the diffuser center have one screw hole which wil lhold the diffuser for good.

ANy idea when they'll be back in stock?

Is the FRP in stock yet? Have the fitment issues been addressed with the new version? Anyone have this installed with an FI exhaust? I've already shimmed my tips down a little and I'm worried I'll have to shim it a good bit more with this installed. How thick is the diffuser?

kenchan 07-24-2010 02:27 PM

So there is one screwhead showing from the outside..? Hope its recessed so it can be putty'ed up and painted...

Double-side tape would be better.

Original one did not have fittment issue, is just is hard to install, specially you got to do it from inside the bumper. New version is thinner and easier to put on. It is about 5mm thick. You can do it with just 3M tape, but to be safe I would atleast have one screw on.

yes, new version is lighter and you don't really need screws. I have CF version in stock.

NewYorkJon34 07-28-2010 06:41 AM

How's the fitment of the new version?

YouTube - SANY2122

So what about just fog light? Is it available? And what is the price?

kenchan 07-29-2010 09:01 AM

Wish someone made one without the fins but in CF. :p

toxik 07-29-2010 10:20 AM

are any of the diffusers coming from NY, possibility of a local pick up?

MB370Z 08-05-2010 01:38 PM

EVOR has been MIA so hopefully someone else can help me. I just recieved my cf rear diffuser. I'm pretty sure I ordered the new version that EVOR says it uses less screws and already has pre drilled holes in it. Well mine came with 3 screws with no pre drilled holes. So my question is how many screws did the old one came with? with only 3 screws where are the best spots to drill to guarantee the best fittment?

ZPirate 08-05-2010 02:09 PM

How about a discount on the new version for those of us who have the old one? ;)

kenchan 08-05-2010 02:47 PM

MB- place the diffuser on your valance area and see if the two ends matches up to the valance line on the bumper. if it's too short you got the "old" version or the not so improved version. :D

Yah, as long as the ends match the length of the bumper's valance lines no issue. just use 3M tape to mount the top and bottom, then use 4 screws to secure the bottom to the bumper. Don't over tighten cause it will crack the CF resin. :)

MB370Z 08-07-2010 12:54 PM

ok f*ck that! now I'm pissed off. Not only did EVOR sent me the old version when I place the order for the new one. The fitment is horrible. The lines did not match so I tried stretching and bending it. NOPE! still jacked up and now I have some scratches on my rear diffuser. Hey thanks EVOR!

I hate that for you, this is why I refused to order this piece from him. I will eventually get the "other" diffuser members here have tried that has a perfect fitment.

MB370Z 08-07-2010 01:08 PM

only reason why I ordered was because EVOR states the new version is lighter and easier to install. Problem was I WAS SENT THE OLD VERSION! I didn't want to deal with returns being that this POS is coming from Taiwan. I'm done, time go beat my meat and let off some stress before I break something.

I hear ya man, mail order sux sometimes :ugh2:

kenchan 08-07-2010 03:47 PM

MB- have him send you a RMA, get full credit INCLUDING return freight. in the mean time, dispute to paypal and if you used a credit card, dispute it.

then order up the fujimura diffuser from here:
japanparts.com : PARTS DATABASE

GL!

EVOR 08-08-2010 06:07 AM

Just saw this post. Been really busy. I did sent you the new version. If you look at the rear reverse side esction it is not full covered. It is not double side covered. Please email me photo of problem. I'll take care of this ASAP. You don't need to use those 3 screws. 3M double side should work fine.

AK370Z 09-14-2010 01:53 PM

BUMP for any new installs with the new version. :excited:

kenchan 09-14-2010 01:59 PM

someone with a yellow Z had one installed and had the same pre-bats fix jordo's vinyl peeping paint look around the fog lamp... :ugh2:

98intrigue 09-14-2010 04:35 PM

Mine is on order. I'll be sure to post up when I get it. Hoping the fitment is a little better than whats been posted. I had an authentic NISMO diffuser for my G35 and the replicas fit better than mine. I'm hoping this is the case for the Evo-R diffuser.

kenchan 09-14-2010 04:42 PM

yah, test fit it and check the peeking paint from around the fog lamp.

i would e-tape that area (unless you're sure you wont be removing it, then just paint using high gloss black) before applying the diffuser and it should be fine. :)

Good thing I have the 40th...if any paint is peeking through, it will be hard to differentiate and the diffuser. I just wish they would make a diffuser that covered the damn fog lamp, haha.

toxik 09-20-2010 10:50 AM

Anyone had any luck with the new Rear Diffuser?

Really don't want to pay $170 shipping to get the one from Japan.

kenchan 09-20-2010 10:56 AM

yah, like i mentioned, someone with a yellow Z has the EvoR rear diffuser and the fitment is much better.... except for around the fog lamp. but that can be easily fixed using the approaches i noted above.
