Those of you with the EVO-R diffuser, can you tell me if the price was smooth and bubble free when you got it? Let me know, thanks.

ShockWave 04-08-2012 08:58 PM

My EVO-R CF Rear Diffuser have HUGE gaps on both sides. any know how to fix it? Fitment sucks with this diffuser!!

You really have to work the piece to get in in place, then remove the backing on the 3M tape while you're holding it in place on both sides.

Does it rub or touch the bumper? Or does the tape give good separation so it doesn't scratch or something?

happytheman 04-08-2012 11:16 PM

Not that I recall. I'll have to check it tomorrow morning for you.

EVOR 04-08-2012 11:26 PM

remember the edge of the diffuser does not go over the inner lining of the bumper lining. Bumper lining is the shape of diffuser on the rear bumper. Hope this helps.

Did you use screws to secure it in?

happytheman 04-09-2012 04:33 PM

Shockwave - imm gonna be honest, nobody is going to notice that except you. I do wonder though as well as anthonyy if you used the screws at each end to secure?

ShockWave 04-09-2012 06:32 PM

I used 3 screws. one on each end and 1 in the middle.

LakeShow 04-10-2012 12:09 AM

Shockwave good pics, really shows the detail. The edges seem fine, not noticeable unless you really stare at it.

I have the Invidia Gemini exhaust and when I put my diffuser up to the bumper to check fitment before installing I noticed the diffuser touches the exhaust. Anyone have this problem or have any ideas what to do to get the exhaust to not touch? Only thing I thought of was getting longer rubber exhaust hangers but I haven't had any luck finding any.

happytheman 04-17-2012 08:17 PM

Ok, for my install it took one nut (14mm I believe), measuring ~1/4" in thickness per side between the frame and the bracket that holds the exhaust on in back to bring the exhaust tips down for proper clearance of the Evo-R Diffuser! Easy Peasey!

I tried to install the EVO-R diffuser this weekend (FRP version) & could not get it to fit at all. Without pushing on them, the upper 'corners' were probably 1" away from the body. If I really pushed, I could get them flush, but no amount of adhesive or tape is going to hold them. And that's pushing the top in first and then fitting the bottom / screws. It's like it's sprung for lack of a better term. The diffuser is completely flat (if not bowed a bit in the opposite direction). Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks for the idea happy! I finally got to lowering the exhaust and your idea worked perfect. Had to use a few extra washers for it to be just right but it worked. Installed the diffuser today and everything looks good. Had to use a double layer of tape (first layer didn't touch the bumper at all) which I thought was strange but overall it looks good. Thanks again!

Glad to be of help, (!!really and for truly!!) but in all honesty.......

I used the silicone, 3m double side tape, and screws. Still fit like ****. I got mine from thezstore about a month ago.

ubs234 12-30-2012 06:25 PM

I heard that the carbon fiber diffuser you guys make dosent fit perfectly like the fujimura brand? I really want to purchase from you guys because you guys are cheaper. But I need some help

EVOR 12-30-2012 10:11 PM

Current version we all include silicon adhesive. It holds better than 3M double side. It would be easy to install with 2 people on this. One holds the center part and the other screw the sides and use tape to hold it up over night.
