New leather seat covers on a 14 Nismo

Hello, just wanted to share some pictures of some leather seats I just installed on my 14 Nismo. The original cloth seats were fading fast. Total cost was $680 and five hours to install. I did it all myself with no experience.Attachment 94600Attachment 94601Attachment 94602

I was curious if there was a reason why you didn't just take it in to the dealer for it to be looked at?

It possibly would've gotten replaced under warranty since it's fairly NEW

Seats look okay! :ugh2:

milko002 09-21-2014 08:13 PM

When in took the car back to the dealer they said it was normal wear and tear. I really didn't feel like fighting so I change them myself. It did cost quite a bit but I'm happy with the results.

I ended up putting a iPad mini into the cubby hole.

Yea it's tough getting in and out of our cars without rubbing the seats with weight. I'm debating with leather or neoprene. I will probably be the the cheap bastid that I am and go with the neoprene but the leather looks so good. Tax time is around the corner with a little extra spending money coming. Maybe I can sneak these on without my wife noticing? ?
Damn! Why do I need new carpet for my house???

milko002 09-22-2014 09:31 AM

I know exactly how you feel ! My wife hates it when I spend money on upgrades.

You did the install yourself, any pics? I checked out the website and they have packages for the 350 but not the 370, was this custom?

milko002 09-22-2014 12:18 PM

Yes,they have the packages for the 370z. That's where I got my set from. They also have a YouTube video on how to install the seats in your car. Here is the link to the website I ordered from. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...75775273,d.aWw

They have a drop-down menu on the top right corner of the homepage and you can select the options you want as far as the style and the colors.

So these are replacements for the factory coverings? Not just covers?

lesper4 09-22-2014 03:13 PM

Got it figured out, I will check out the video tonight. Pretty nice selection.

Yes you are correct. These seat covers replaced the factory ones.

cooltoy 09-22-2014 04:39 PM

That's pretty cool then. I thought these were covers over the existing seats.

I watched the video of the Vette install. Props to you, does not look like the easiest install in the world.

milko002 09-22-2014 05:07 PM

Believe it or not it was not that bad. I just took my time. The only thing you really need to take off is the bottom seat cushion . You disconnect some wiring and remove 4 bolts and the bottom comes right off .The rest of the seat stays assembled . Peel the old covers off and slide the new ones on.

victorofhavoc 09-23-2014 12:32 PM

Wow! I absolutely love the way this turned out man! I'm considering doing it to my Z with black siding and white insert with the white stitching. I wonder if their vinyl feels as nice as the leather? I know Audi's pleather is just fantastic...

Might have to do this to my Forester XT first since it's my DD

milko002 09-23-2014 01:26 PM

Thanks for the compliment. The Quality and feel of the seats are top-notch. I ordered another set for my Accord .

DroneBot 3.7L 09-23-2014 01:55 PM

They look awesome, thanks for the heads up on this minor upgrade.

Bluers 09-23-2014 03:04 PM

Looks awesome!

I was thinking about going this route considering the factory cloth seats feel somewhat cheap. Hopefully, I can check it out in person at one of the meets.

Sure not a problem hope to see you there soon. As far as the original seats feeling cheap you are absolutely right. It makes a world of difference as far as comfort goes since the install. When I remove the old seat covers it was hardly any padding . The black color from the seats bled into the foam pad
