Aftermarket 2015 Nismo DRLs
So I have a guy who works in LEDs and is interested in producing some after market DRLs in lieu of the OEM $700 ones. He is on the RX-8 forum but does other work as well. I will be the middle man for this instance.
https://www.facebook.com/pages/LEBRE...055832?sk=info Welcome to Lebren Lebren LED @lebren_led Instagram photos | Websta (Webstagram) His response was, "Yeah lets take a look, if we could do something with carbon fiber (costly and a pain when trimming), fiberglass, or even resins the housing is going to be pretty important. Ideally injection molded plastics would be used. What did everyone as a group like as far as housings goes?" I am new to this kinds of things but the last material which sounds similar to headlight housings would be best? As for wiring that would be easy I think it is the fabrication that we need to nail down? Input, thoughts suggestions? P.S. I am not sure how things work on the forum as this wouldn't be a forum vender more of an after market out site the forum purchase?

Sonds great, i'd pm AK and make sure it all cool. I'm sure it will be but best check with him for sure. The one most like the stock lights would be what i'd be looking for. What type of ballpark price range are we talking?

I would want something as close to OEM as possible. That being said, a light strip, rather than individual LEDs would also look pretty cool.

What about making something for the Amuse bumper as well. I am sure he'll sell lots.

I will let him know. I am sure pricing will depend on the material and integration of the lights. Personally if it were the same price but for 2 I would be happy.
I think there are already lights out there for the Amuse bumpery, I have seen a variety already? AK?

Some people posted pictures of the bumper with close up, I will get those to Lebren. His bumper that he can work on should be in today, waiting for an update.
