LED Headlights - Getting Ripped off on Ebay

Hey guys, I need a little advice.

I purchased some Cincity Designs style LED 370z headlights. Blacked out and LED lined, on ebay, the link is below. That was back in July 27, and I still haven't gotten anything. I messaged him about it last month, and he said he noticed a crack in the back of one of the headlights and had to buy a new set, re paint and re LED the one headlight. When he told me this, he implied they were already done. I then waited for the item, by 17 September, I sent him another email asking where the item was or if he had a tracking number, and I have gotten no response since. Today I sent him a message demanding repayment for the item, as this is getting ridiculous. Hopefully ebay seller Subrwho is on this freakin forum. What would you do in this situation?

had this happen to me before. File a dispute with either Paypal (if you used them) or ebay. You'll get your money back quick if it was done through paypal

Modshack 09-29-2009 11:52 AM

Interesting....I noticed he has virtually NO feedback as a seller. Plenty as a buyer.

SgtGoldy 09-29-2009 11:55 AM

the feedback he does have is all positive. So idk about this guy, not much history but the history he does have is all positive. Its like a credit score: yea you might be making all your payments but you don't have much credit history, so your still considered a risk... this guys a risk, get your money and do it yourself

Caravanshaka 09-29-2009 11:56 AM

cincity is a vendor here on the site, and it sounds from the description like this is actualy cincity selling the items. If that is the case, Digitonium has used them.

Sucks getting screwed over, but as others have said, paypal will refund you for that.

Problem is, it's all as a buyer, NOT a seller (only 2 feedbacks from Feb. and before)

SgtGoldy 09-29-2009 11:57 AM

oh I didnt even notice.... hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......................... yea screw this kid, file a report and wash your hands of em

Caravanshaka 09-29-2009 12:02 PM

I'd find out if it is in fact cincity, and if it's not, get them involved. This guy could be facing a lawsuit...

Zerafian 09-29-2009 01:00 PM

Since Iv been on the 350z forums I always heard good and bad things about them. I hoenstly would never buy from them or get them to do work for me, theyre just to unpredictable. That and they over price their work way to much.

Ebay always cators towards the buyer so just open a dispute with Ebay and youll get your money back quick for sure.

Its not like you need to keep in good standing wiht these guys...do what benefits you and be done with it.

I read through the ebay page as well, did I miss something cause it doesnt state they are Cincity designs, just that the product is theirs.

nogoodname 09-29-2009 01:09 PM

i have heard bad things from cincity on other forums....

best bet is to file a complaint and if you really want modded headlights, you should deal with 180 customs

Equinox 09-29-2009 01:19 PM

He did insinuate in the description of the item that he is in fact with Cincity Designs,

"For those who don't know about all they headlight, tail light, and side markers CiNcity Designs does, please visit the youtube channel simply by searching our name CiNcity Designs. You can also visit our website which is the same name followed by a dot com"

So before I dispute the item with paypal (which I used), I'm gonna give him one last chance, and try and contact cincity Designs.

Snakes709 09-29-2009 06:07 PM

this is why i dont buy anything on ebay or kijiji.

DIGItonium 09-29-2009 09:25 PM

I've seen that user name on MY350, but I can't tell you if it's the exact same person since it's Ebay. "Subrwho" is supposedly Ryan, and he is a member on this site. Contact Nic and Ryan directly. Their contact info is on the CiNcity Designs website.

It is quite surprising the back of one of the headlights would get cracked. I shipped the items using the same packaging I got from them. One of the boxes was a large baby seat and the other was Nissan's original box for the headlight. This was months ago, so I do not know what has happened since. Working with them definitely takes quite a bit of patience. I made a deposit in Feb., the project started late April, and it took about a month for me to get the headlights. This is before I was aware of other modders like 180|Custom.

Equinox 09-29-2009 09:50 PM

180 Custom doesn't have a website persay - do you deal with them by phone only, or what?

DIGItonium 09-29-2009 10:17 PM

Yea, I text and call Nic quite often for updates and progress.

CORRECTION
: Cincity is NOT a vendor here on the site. If they are involved in ANY transaction or pm, that would be against the forum policy and illegal! If anyone receives any pm or email from Cincity or 180custom, they need to come to my attention ASAP. Thank your for your cooperation.

As for OP, you can file a dispute against them via paypal or contact them via their third party site. thanks. I hope everything gets resolved.
