Painting ideas

I have a black Z and I was going to paint the accents and the brake calipers blue what does everybody think? I've been trying to find a picture of a Z with what I wanna do but can't seem to find any to get some ideas. :icon14:

Do you have stock or aftermarket wheels? If aftermarket, what color?

My own personal opinion is that black cars look best with yellow/gold calipers. You can head to the photoshop section to see if someone can give you a quick photo edit of what different colors would look like.

My car is completely stock I have the 2011 base model. I'm gonna paint everything but the calipers with plasti dip so if it doesn't look good I can just peel it off

Red or yellow, gold r the best

Unless you want Plasti-Dip melting onto your pads and rotors, you may not have a chance to peel it off :icon14:. You need high temperature paint.

Plasti Dip Calipers?
Get you some aftermarket or Sport Calipers... I have a base as well and I went with the Sport Caliper kit from Z1... Its a night and day diffrence. Or if your on a budget just use some high temp paint. The Plasti Dip wont hold up and you will
1) kill yourself or someone
2) it will most def melt and become a sticky mess
3) it will look like dog shi*

How about neon green for your calipers. It blends well with black.
Like this one but this is in a blue Z.

Attachment 94392

This is one my favorite Z owned by one of our forum member.

Agree with the gold also red is good too imo. Red is "normal" but still think it looks great. Also a gloss black with white nissan letters.

i would keep the stock base calipers stock... or just paint it gunmetal or something dark to hide it, not show it off.

I didn't mean I was going to paint the calipers with plasti dip I was gonna do blue high temp paint. I was gonna do blue because u hardly see that color scheme on cars ( I've never seen it) and a couple of people I know have black with red

MajorP370 09-21-2014 11:51 AM
