No seņor.

I know EXACTLY what it is.

The original owner bought it from a "Power" dealershit.
It's hooked up to a GPS tracker usually under the steering column.

It's a 50/50 whether they installed it because the guy's credit wasn't great or they just do it to all their cars.

I'll tell you that it's a nasty system. The one that was in my Maxima was connected to the doors, windows and ignition. The guys who took it out said they never saw such an intricate system

Thanks for the correction.

Mine originally came with something similar like that and so basically I ripped it out! :icon17:

Getting my hopes up thinking it was some kind of proximity sensor, glad you guys cleared it up for me. Now I got something to work on this weekend.

stealth23 09-13-2014 12:48 AM

Do you guys know what this device is called or the company its from ?

RN SHARK 09-13-2014 01:31 AM

I have that in mine as well. Bought it used, so not sure about the dealership. As for the brand, it looks the same as the one in my SRT. That has a KarrTrack system installed in it. I love it, as I can log in and see where my SRT is at all times, disable the starter, etc. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the alarm using the green button. I forgot the sequence at the moment. My Z does not have the tracking ability activated on it, as that is a paid subscription. I paid for the lifetime one on the SRT.

stealth23 09-13-2014 12:56 PM

hmmmm interesting, i guess rather then ripping it out i can try to contact the dealer that installed it so i can try to take advantage of the system

Edit: I just called the tech people from https://karrtrack.mblgps.com and they were able to tell me what type of device i have by giving them my vin number, found out that its not tracking device. I have a security alarm which is not active at the moment installed by a dealer located in Tuscan arizona.

Well, glad I was able to help you out so now you know what it is.

I have that. It's a karr alarm system from the dealers.ine works because every time the weather gets below 40 it goes off whenever the metal creaks. I thought it was someone's saying with me but I figured it out after awhile. I'm about 60% satisfied because there is no way to reduce the sensitivity. But it does work and I can track my car if needed. I was paranoid when I lived in San Diego that I would wake up and my car would be in Mexico.
