Default HELP window wont roll up

Not sure if this is the right place for this thread but today i finished a 12 hour day of modding up the Z had the battery disconected the whole time. Installed Stillen HFC, Non Stop Tuning Underdrive an Overdrive pulleys, and Stillen Gen 3 Intake. So once i had everything on went for a drive with windows down got back put bumper on and started the drive home tried to put windows up and noticed that they wouldnt do it all the way when u pull the switch had to hold the whole time. So when i got back to my house pulled front bumper back off and some other obstructions could find any loose conections. Put it back together and called my friend with a G35 who had had the same problem before gave some advice on holding the switch for the windows to reset it. So i fiddled with the passenger one holding it down for 10 seconds then up for ten seconds and it reset itself i guess cause it works now. When i tried with the driver side window it went down now nothing wont go up makes a click like it has power when i push it down no noise when i pull it up any thoughts sugestions. Any help would be great ill also post some pics when i get them from friend forgot my camera and hopefully once i get exhaust and ecu tune ill get down to the dynno an put up some WHP numbers.
Thank you in advance for any help
Kareem

Well... Not sure what you can do since I never looked at window controls. But push comes to shove if your car is outside and u have no indoor place to park it, remove the door panels, splice into the motor wires (there should be two) tie wires from the pos and neg terminals on the batteries and attach them to the two wires on the motor. If it goes further down or doesn’t move at all switch it and it will go up. I do this for my neighbors who don’t care to fix their windows and just want it up. Like I said that is a step you want to take if you have no indoor place to park your car, and its going to rain before you get a chance to have it looked at. And even if you do it. Its nothing a little electrical tape wont fix.

But if you have time. Take it to a shop and they'll test your switches.

Meanwhile you can check your fuses.

I had a similar 3 day audio installation this weekend, and had almost the exact same thing happen...

Tell me this - did you close the door and try it?

My scenario: With the door open, pressing down makes the motors click - up does nothing.
Close the door: hold window down until I heard the click - then held the window up and it went up... held the switch up for 15 seconds and it was fine.

I had the same problem. then i read the service manual and it tells you how to fix it. you have to do it everytime the battery is disconnected. its designed to prevent you from breaking the window when you close the door.

If the windows do not close automatically
If the power window automatic function (closing
only) does not operate properly, perform the
following procedure to initialize the power
window system.

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Close the door.

3. Open the window completely by operating
the power window switch.

4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to
close the window, and then hold the switch
more than 3 seconds after the window is
closed completely.

5. Release the power window switch. Operate
the window by the automatic function to
confirm the initialization is complete.

6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other
windows.
So you tried the above instructions and it didn't work?
