Angry Philips 6000K HID bulbs not working

So I bought a pair of Philips 6000K HID's from carhidkits.com. Has anyone used this vendor before? When the package arrived, one of them was busted, but they sent a free replacement.

However, I go to install them and I'm running into the same issue others have mentioned: flickers for an instant then shuts off. What's the deal? Philips bulbs are supposed to be the bomb.. They look exactly like the OEM's that were in the car, so I don't really suspect a fake bulb here.. I checked fitment over and over again, I uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled - they just aren't firing and staying lit!

I have a 2014 Nismo - has anyone else had issues with Philips bulbs not working on new models? Waste of money. Paid $99 for two bulbs.

I don't think I can help much on the bulbs issue, But there a different types/watts even though they are rated 6k.

Here is an old thread to read into and possibly get some answers.

I don't think the headlight specs have changed for the 14's

HID Bulb Change

I changed mine out to 6k along time ago, and have never had an issue.

Thanks Trips; the bulbs I put in are 35 watt. Sigh - guess my ballasts don't want to play nice. Going to try to see if the vendor will take them back.

Yea, 35watt D2S bulbs should work unless there something wrong with the ones you received.

I ordered mine awhile back from here.

I had the same issue with many bulbs. I bought a genuine PIAA bulbs from Japan. I visit Japan annualy so I took a gamble on those. Works without any issues. Its a PITA with 2011 and up Z's with hid bulbs.

Forgot to add: they were on sale for around $120 usd.

^ I would say they are fake. I've had the same bulbs for almost 3 years now with absolutely no issues. I can't remember where I bought them but it was somewhere legit. I made sure I stayed away from these vendors that sale these cheap Taiwan made LED kits.
