Im about to purchase from Z1 and do the front and rear conversion on my 09 sport. Are these bumpers easy to install your self? Should I take them to a body shop installed on my car and have them match the paint that way or should I just take the pieces to the body shop?

Pretty ease to do by yourself

The front bumper kit don't include the fender splash shield and engine splash shield, those need to be ordered separately.

Well, if you take all the parts to the shop they going to charge extra for installation.

I'm removing mine this week, (Front bumper only, plus splash shield and fender splash shield) going back to older Nismo version, if you local and interested pm me.

Hey all,

I've read most of these pages, but i don't think anyone's answered it.

Do the Non-Nismo DRL's have the same plug as the Nismo DRL's ? (I am aware that they are different in shape & size). Just wondering if they can be swapped over plug and play style.

Hopefully someone knows....

Cheers

They look similar. My guess would be yes.

I believe its fly1motorsports that makes the carbon fiber accent pieces for the nismo. Yeah i just searched it and they make them, they are 350 tho lol

Anyone have a photo of airbag sensors mount on nismo bumper?

theART 02-07-2018 01:24 AM

Just read thru 70+ pages and still can't decide  if to go with 09-12 Sport or 15 Nismo front. My '12 Z needs a front bumper replaced atm so costs would be the same.

cooltoy 02-07-2018 07:20 AM

I have a 2014 PW sport for sale.

No airbag sensors are mounted on the bumper.

Hi guys, I have too much problems with my conversion. I dont won't make spam, but I do not know what these holes are, and if this part belongs to Nismo 15+ front bumper
Thank you for your replies

Gents, I read through the 70 pages and looking for clarification:

- Do we need to buy Nismo engine under cover? it has a different part number 75892-6GA0A vs 75892-1EA0A (non-nismo).

- Also are we in agreement it's best to buy Nismo fender liners as well to avoid gaps?

PS: The first pic is the cover for fangs on the Non-Nismo model, it doesn't belong to Nismo bumper. The extension and holes from what I gather don't have any purpose except to keep radiator air-shields in place.

the under cover does not fit. there is about an inch gap between where it attaches for the stock bumper vs the nismo so if you want it attached at the front yes you need it. I opted for the zspeed aluminum conversion undertray which states there are other differeneces since they make one for oem nismos and one for conversions. fender liners even with the extenders on the bumper theres nowhere to attach the extension to the non nismo fender liner. so for full oem clean appearance you would need them.

Hey all im about to dive into doing this swap on my 2015 Sport however my car has the front headlight washers installed (Australian spec car) I am hoping to delete them however I'm worried its going to cause codes to be thrown up. Is there a fuse that needs to be pulled or something?! If anyone has been in the same position PLEASE help me!

cooltoy 07-03-2018 08:59 PM

Can't you just keep them?

Do you recall whereabouts you got the parts from - US or AUS?

Just keep the circuit open / unplug the harness and either tuck the part or remove it. Nothing should happen. It is a silly part.

PainlesShadow 07-20-2018 06:22 PM

@axmea? yeah thats what I did, looks better without the washer parts. Actually my build is based off your car hahahaha. I used it for inspiration, My own question is the shop that is doing the work has said that they cant fix the bumper with the crash absorber fitted and have mounted the crash sensor to the bumper. My question is should I buy the Nismo foam absorber because ive heard removing it can void your warranty in an accident (Australia is a baby country)......

theART 07-20-2018 07:50 PM

All done  I am in love once again!

I do not understand why you cannot use your OEM foam. We've never had to replace ours in the States. Please post some pics.

Dont worry I was slightly buzzed when I replied previously, the guys doing the conversion have relocated the crash/airbag sensor to the bumper or something that stopped the bumper fitting while it foam absorber was mounted and they were hesitant to try and modify it. Its all fitted now and will post pictures very soon. Looks amazing :D

I just went through 75 pages cannot get a clear answer on the rear conversion, is it necessary to purchase the rear splash/fender liner guards? I also understand we need a new lower bracket support? Are these the only 3 parts I need to make it mount and fill in the gap in the wheel well

These the are part numbers I have for these 3 parts.
85249-1EA2A Lower reinforced bumper support
76748-6GA0A Right side fender liner
76749-6GA0A Left side fender liner

Also for people asking for more of a OEM look on the front DRL’s. I found some DRL’s off of a Renault Kolios that was similar in size and filled/molded the gap to fit flush.

Here’s my semi DIY thread a couple years back... not sure why I never posted here

You don't need the liners and the bracket for the rear bumper. The bracket is for the older Nismos. You will need a tow hook cover for the rear.

Perfect thank you sir!
