Oh hell yeah! That makes a big difference
|
Going in to start my install and paint this weekend. Provided I can get to the shop through the winter sludge in my S-04 summer tires. Should be interesting. I will post pics as I can.
I decided to take a more subdued approach - Blending in to factory KAD color, transferring the lights from my oem 2013 bumper over, and doing the lip factory color. Additionally I am blacking out the center but going matte. My goal is to try to shoot for a cleaner, more oem look. I had to talk myself out of the red accent stripe. ha ha. |
This thread needs to be revived ASAP! :pics:

Nice! Did you get rid of the amuse kit? if not i'm interested lol!

This Kit is fresh, I love the integrated vented air ducts. The front is way to busy as stated in earlier comments. But overall I think the kit gets two thumbs up.
|
Update - My car is still iced in so I haven't been able to get to the shop yet. Friggin winter.
Hope everyone else's mods are going better. |
I came across this photo 2 weeks ago
I think it belongs to SNSDyoona Hope he doesn't mind me sharing this with everyone http://www.stancenation.com/wp-conte...o-1140x760.jpg |

Debating on posting some recent pics... i'm 99% done. Waiting on some final touches and mounting the wing. |

Those vertically aligned daytime running lights bug me for some reason. That is the one thing that looks better on Nismo's 2015 bodykit.
|
agreed! still a nice kit tho!

So ya some updates from me. Here's where it sits now. They needed to fix a couple things on the driver side along with mounting the wing. Its winter in Chicago so i'm in no real rush to get it home so I haven't bugged them about getting it done. Still debating on whether or not to do a clear bra. Also my brakes are off the car getting powdercoated. The bright red of the ProjectMu brakes really clashes to me.
These are cellphone shots in fluorescent shop lighting.. The blue pearl doesn't even really show up here. This is fully aired out. Looks like the Varis front bumper is a hair lower than my Amuse bumper. Sideskirts are not as low as Amuse. http://i.imgur.com/AXsJqzfh.jpg You can see how they didn't use the little add on piece on the front bumper to make it line up with the wider front fenders. Came out good. http://i.imgur.com/m8MetkAh.jpg Ordered the 2015 Nismo headlights from Juan@FontanaNissan. Photoshop of how the headlights should look. http://i.imgur.com/GtQmk75h.jpg And finally here's a photoshop the wife did of the new wheels and wing.. damn I can't wait. Ordered the Work CR 2Piece in 20's step lip.. couldnt find a good step lip pic but you get the idea.. Ordered late December, hopefully the LA Dockworker strike doesn't delay them too much. :( http://i.imgur.com/HNZoixqh.jpg |
dude i just have to say that your Z looks outstanding  awesome work man!
|
that looks sweet!! your calipers look huge!! lol what size are they? and what color are you painting them?
|
Let me be the first to say, PHOTOS DO NOT DO THIS CAR JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A week ago, I got the liberty to see this build in person, and the colors/bodywork done on this car left me speachless. The attention paid to detail, to the small things like painting the door handles, going into indepth details such as molding the front add-on piece from the Varis Fenders that usually go on to the front bumper, the shop widened the front the keep everything flowing clean and evenly. The colors of the paint with the blue pearl in the clear of the red with the pearl of the red evenly distributed in the clear over the CF pieces. Suchhhh an epic build, and hats off to Gene for the scheme, and the bodyshop that did the work. Absolutely gorgeous build that I'm just thankful I'm able to see in person with it being right here in the Midwest. |

Liquid - that thing looks crazy! Love it.
I wonder how it would look if I got just the front and fenders (maybe skirts too) to go with my Amuse. |

Quick update - Looks like I am finally going in to the body shop tomorrow for paint.
Can't wait to get this thing on the car. It has been a 5 month wait since I got it. On the bright side I was able to use some of the ample bubble wrap it came in to ship some goodies to other members in the "freebies" thread. ha ha. |
Wow dude!
Liquid_G! Your car is frikkin amazing bro. :0
The attention to the detail is just mind blowing! Really nice work. :bowrofl: |
