I should move to Japan and make shitty over done body kits with a zillion vents and sell them through bulletproof. If people really like this **** I can retire in a year

Why is there so much ignorance in this thread? Just appreciate the hard work or gtfo.
We need more updates. My inner child is jumping out of me! :excited: |

Where some see a dumpster fire of a body kit others find beauty. It is up for you to decide which side of the fence you are on.
IMO since we are sharing and sharing is caring. I would really dig this kit alot more if the middle of the front bumper was deleted like others have pointed out. Dunno what is going on with all that and it just doesn't flow. Then on the rear bumper clean up the multi vents on the side. I think then it would look really clean. Kudos to those who spent their hard earned money on this kit. It is definitely different. :tiphat: |
Also, if I recall correctly, the venting is functional when all parts are used together. (the front end anyways)
|
Because this is a forum and I feel like posting my opinion :)

Everybody got one.

K, well I'll be the first to say that photos do NOT do this bodykit justice. In photos, your eyes are immediately drawn to the "vents" and the bars of the bumper, things that some may see or feel are "tasteless" or "rice".
The things people can't see are: #1 - The product/quality. Below I took a few photos of the kit being put on. SPOT ON fitment, and materials used? This kit is the FRP version, yet everything black on the kit (bottom of the front bumper, side skirts, full fenders, hood, and rear bottom diffuser) are all made with reinforced ***carbon fiber weave***. The "carbon fiber" version is obviously double sided CF with CF finish on the outside, but it simply blows my mind that they use carbon fiber on the non-carbon fiber version for pure quality and strength. #2 - The seams and curve of this kit....there's ZERO CHANCE of there being a "replica mold" made of these parts. When examing the skirts closely, all of the bottom splitters are added on separately (expected), but what you DO NOT SEE is that the skirts are seemed together. The skirts were at one time 3 pieces because of the complexity of the vents/functionality. Which brings me right into... #3 - the vents are 100% functionable. The front opening, intercooler goodness. The outter vents of the front directly feed the filters of the intercooler piping. The side skirts actually funnel air from the wheel well/front of the side skirt, and channel it inside of the side skirt releasing it out half way. I'm BLOWN AWAY by this!! The rear bumper vents actually release air from the rear wheel wells, allowing you to run brake ducts or simply use as is. The "styling" of this kit may not be for everyone, but for those to jump on here and say "that's a piece of sh/t", or "wow....RICE" obviously have not seen this kit in person, or know anything about it. I just ask you to hold your negativity and keep an open mind until you do actually see one of the few of these kits within the US at a show/meet. You may eat evvvvery single word you have posted on this thread! If not, to each their own I guess .... cheers! Only a few updated mounted photos of MR. Arrvaxx's progress. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...psc198602a.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ps99fb1d71.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ps370fe7be.jpg |
Although a little bit busy, I still like the kit. It is going to a car that has the power and torque to match the wild looks so that's fine (I got to see Arrvaxx car at F.I. before it was picked up). Different if if it is going onto a stock Z. Would like to see how clean their work is by looking at pictures from the back or unfinished side to appreciate how finessed their work really is.

I have my bumper sitting at home. So very happy about that. Since it needs to be painted I got thinking about taking the opportunity to wrap my whole car.
So been looking at colors a lot. Z - is still NA but with the normal mods. Don't have the fundage to go FI atm so will just have to live with a car that looks faster than what it is. Regarding appearance of the kit - To each their own and I think as we see finished photos of these installs a lot of people will change their minds. I did not immediately like the Zele kit until I saw all the different color/paint combos people used and saw some builds that I ended up liking. Quick edit - I second every positive comment about the build quality. I also wanted to get authentic JDM and couldn't be happier with the purchase or service I got through Bulletproof. |
At least some vents are functional. I can live with that. But that's the only reason why.

I dont care if the prime minister of japan makes this kit with fiberglass and a pair of chopsticks it looks like crap. Ofcourse that is just my opinion but who needs 50 scoops and vents everywhere? Doesnt flow well at all, its ugly. To each their own but i like hotwheels in small toys not a real 370z. Here you go, flows a bit better than this kit..

At the end of the day, as long as I enjoy in it, that's all that matter to me, and i think everyone deserve this:yum:
If one day you can make your own kits, I will be the first one to say 'good job buddy'... |

not sure how it works... last night when i first clicked this thread and saw the first post i started projectile vomiting and then began writing my part-out and for-sale posts to get me as far away from association as possible.
13 pages later and after seeing what you guys are doing with it, its grown on me and looks amazing with what those of you have done with it. It blows my mind how so many of you can see the potential in something like that which I see as totally irreparable. I look forward to seeing your cars finished up with this. Maybe one day I will put some money into making my Z look nice! |

Understandable Phunk. I think the pics of the white kit made a lot of people more critical of it, despite the fact the install was clean and nicely done.
How the owner chooses to color this kit plays a major role in whether or not it works from a visual standpoint. See the attached image for comparison. |

I was also testing a few other things. Here is a quick shop of what it looks like with the nose vents filled in and body colored lip. (vents were also darkened)
|
That is definitely the way to do it.
What about the rear? |
You may as well buy '13+ front bumper and add the Varis lip then.

Merry Xmas update. Getting closer for me. They laid a second layer of color and added some accent painting.
http://i.imgur.com/P21fQTMl.jpg Again that center post chopped and entire center section darkened. Its not a black more of dark gray / charcoal color. http://i.imgur.com/EP8Q5P3l.jpg Same color on the sideskirt. http://i.imgur.com/Ulfeo0jl.jpg Here you can see they filled the long hole used for what I think is the JDM license plate bracket. I'll be able to drill my own license plate mounts now. On my Amuse bumper before I always just had license plate stuck on with VHB. Kinda want to avoid that here. Also the inside edge has that same dark gray accent but kinda hard to see here. http://i.imgur.com/epCwAQ1l.jpg |
Looking great, probably the best kit for the 370z imo
|
Wow... It is indeed growing on me too
|
That is gonna look real nice all put together!

Wow,that's looking awsome! I like how the glare on the left light makes it look like a eye staring right at you!
So how much lower to the ground does the kit sit compared to stock? More specifically the front bumper? |

I would soil myself if I saw that in my rear view mirror. = very well done. Black is def the ideal color. |
Looks like a mad cobra!
